The blood of Jesus doesn’t only forgive what we’ve done — it cleanses who we are becoming.
Lust of the flesh isn’t just a behavior issue; it’s a heart issue. And that’s why the gospel is so powerful. Jesus didn’t shed His blood merely to pardon sin, but to purify our hearts and renew our desires.
“How much more shall the blood of Christ… cleanse your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?”

The blood of Jesus reaches places willpower never can. It cleanses the conscience, breaks the power of sin, and removes the grip of ungodly desires that war against the soul.
“Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me.”
— Psalm 51:10
Through Christ, God doesn’t just restrain lust — He replaces it. He transforms the heart so that what once pulled us toward the flesh no longer rules us.
“Knowing this, that our old man was crucified with Him, that the body of sin might be done away with.”

Lust loses its authority at the cross. The old nature was crucified with Christ, and we are given power to walk in newness of life.
“For the flesh lusts against the Spirit… and these are contrary to one another.”

Victory comes when we yield to the Spirit, not by striving in our own strength, but by trusting what Christ has already accomplished.

Purity is not about perfection — it’s about position. In Christ, we are washed, sanctified, and justified.
“But you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus.”
