Kiddo caught one of the sick bugs thatā€™s going around so I put him outside in the below freezing temperatures overnight to help with his fever šŸ¤Ŗ JUST KIDDING! Iā€™ve actually been alternating between Tylenol and ibuprofen as suggested by a good friend that was a nurse once upon a time and have been using motherly instincts:
- hot bath with epsom salt and tea tree oil
- trying to get him to drink fluids as patiently as I can even though he doesnā€™t want to
- bland foods (mostly saltines because heā€™s picky and right now thatā€™s his favorite bland food)
- encouraging lots of rest while I clean all of his school supplies, room, and bathroom
- setting timers and notes for medicine
- sitting with him and discussing symptoms and how we will manage them
So far things look better today than they did yesterday so Iā€™m thankful to the prayer warriors and everyone that has offered advice etc.
We have not been 24 hours free of fever yet but I hope we will be by tomorrow.
PSA for families sending sick kids to school. Please stop. Even if money is tight and you would rather be at work earning your income I completely understand, but the time you spend taking care of them is worth it in the long run. They learn from you how to prioritize and be responsible. Donā€™t miss the opportunity and trust that things will work as theyā€™re supposed to.

UPDATED TO ADD: Disregard the "resignation" as of Aug. 2024, a painful life event occurred that has made it possible for me to spend some time picking up Pampered Chef again and other things. I am working on making some exciting updates/changes for Oopsie Mommy. Stay tuned!

Dearest friends/followers,
I am so sorry to do this but humbled to know that this difficult decision may help me in the long run.
I am overwhelmed. I recognize I am not providing the best service I can or used to offer in the past. I am officially closing down my Pampered Chef business. I still LOVE pampered chef and treasure my time and memories and relationships Iā€™ve gained along my journey.
Currently my priorities in life are related to my faith, family, and the community we are planted in now. I need to let go of some things and hopefully find peace.

I HIGHLY recommend this audiobook series for kiddos in second grade and up. My kiddo loves the sound effects and ā€œIQ boostersā€ and itā€™s fun for both of us to listen to the story and talk about it. PSA: We use our library card to listen to these awesome stories for free on Libby and/Hoopla šŸ˜‰
