It’s time for me to make this clear AGAIN.
I have no affiliation, ownership, involvement, or working relationship with a certain local website that many people continue to associate me with. I left approximately a year ago, and my decision was based on my own values and principles.
I do not support content that publicly singles people out through mugshots or reporting that I believe lacks fairness, context, or accountability. That isn’t the type of journalism or community platform I want my name attached to.
Even today, people continue to message me about articles on that website or ask why certain stories were published. The answer is simple: I have nothing to do with it. I don’t write for it, I don’t approve its content, and I have no influence over anything that appears there.
In my opinion, if you’re going to report on your community, you should be willing to stand behind your work with your real identity, not hide behind anonymous or pseudonymous names while publishing content about other people’s lives. Accountability should go both ways.
So let me publicly state this once more: I DO NOT support, represent, own, or have any affiliation with that website.
My focus is, and always will be, on creating content that informs, entertains, and serves my community with integrity.
