"Athletes In Motion Sports Television, Inc. was launched in 1987 in the garage of Paul J. Higgins' Rancho Santa Margarita apartment. Since that time Paul and his production team have covered thousands of games and sporting events in Southern California, across the nation and around the world. For the first time, Paul is now releasing classic episodes of Athletes In Motion. The show (AIM Sports TV)
started out as a 15 minute weekly highlight show on Dimension Cable Channel 10 and in Orange, California on Cablevision of Orange. Launched at a perfect time in the era of outstanding sports in OC Paul first focused on the 1986 football season with his initial show on Capistrano Valley Cougar football star and captain Brent Parker. The following year Paul hit the trifecta with three outstanding local quarterbacks in Todd Marinovich of Capistrano Valley, Brett Johnson of the El Toro Chargers and Troy Kopp of the Mission Viejo Diablos. All three would go on to have successful college careers and all three turned professional. There was no better time for high school football in Orange County. Thousands of spectators each week came to watch excellent high school football. In addition, the Saddleback Gauchos football team were enjoying outstanding success on their own, winning the Pony Bowl and turning out future Division 1 players year after year.
