24 hour Warming Centers are currently open at the following locations:

• Pellston Airport- food and water available
• Resort Township Hall- water available
• Bear Creek Township Hall- water available
• Petoskey City Hall-water available
• Shay Elementary in Harbor Springs- food and water available
For individuals who rely on oxygen concentrators, the warming shelters at Shay Elementary and Odawa Casino are equipped with power to support this medical equipment.
Officials urge residents to continue sheltering in place due to hazardous roadway conditions. Travel should only occur if absolutely necessary, and extreme caution is advised. Many roads are covered with snow and ice, and there are fallen trees throughout the area, making travel dangerous.

Emmet County has been declared in a state of emergency by Governor Whitmer, effective as of March 31, 2025. The Emmet County Emergency Operations Center is requesting State resources to assist with snow removal from roadways, tree clearing, and fuel for emergency vehicle operations.
Residents should be prepared for extended power outages and dropping temperatures, with an estimated duration of at least 48 hours.
