Pagans talk about our rights all the time. But what we're really talking about is sovereignty.

Spiritual sovereignty.
Body sovereignty.
Community sovereignty.

But what about data sovereignty?

Every ritual photo.
Every teaching video.
Every community conversation.
Every small Pagan business page.

All hosted on platforms that can delete, demonetize, shadowban, or censor us at any time.

If we don’t own our platforms, we don’t own our voice.

It’s time to build Pagan-controlled digital spaces — where our traditions, teachers, and creators can’t be erased by an algorithm.

We talk about our right to be Pagan and practice our religion the way we want, but the word we should be talking about is sovereignty.

Why?

At its core, sovereignty means the right and ability to govern yourself.

It means:
• Making your own decisions
• Controlling your own resources
• Protecting what belongs to your community
• Not being dependent on outside powers to exist

For Pagans, sovereignty has always been spiritual.

But in the modern world, it’s also digital.

When our teachings, rituals, media, and communities live on platforms we don’t control, our traditions become vulnerable to algorithms, policy changes, and censorship.

That’s why Spiral Moon Media Group is working to build Pagan-centered digital infrastructure — spaces where our communities can create, share, and preserve Pagan culture on our own terms.

Because sovereignty isn’t just spiritual.
