There’s a lot of talk about the Dignity act going around. PLEASE DO YOUR RESEARCH!! Giving status to those that have been here past 5 years?? Let me remind you of our southern border 6 years ago!! Enforce the laws on the books. Some of us have been on this border longer than many campaigning.

All of this, and now politicians from around Arizona are finally looking at the reservation. But where were they for the many decades when that land was being trampled by drug smugglers, human smugglers, and others illegally crossing through the area, leaving behind trash, alcohol bottles, and damage to the land? The people who live there and the agents who have worked that area have been dealing with these problems for decades. It’s good to see attention finally being given to the reservation, but it shouldn’t have taken this long. Unfortunately, again, our politicians are focused on facilitating the land to the criminals instead of protecting our country.

Here’s the problem look at the headline in the picture. Now here is the truth, he missed an immigration court hearing. He had a pending asylum case and an I-130 petition. That’s NOT the same as what the headline reads. Fake news is damaging to all involved. He did NOT have U.S. residency.

For decades, including during my time working on the Tohono O’odham Nation, cartels have used these lands to smuggle drugs, people, children, and who knows what else into our country. Finally, there is hope that a real barrier will be built to help protect the reservation, our communities, and our nation’s sovereignty.
