We're looking forward to seeing everyone tomorrow at the Tullahoma Regional Independence Day Celebration! As many know, there is a considerable amount of construction happening on Wilson Avenue. In the interest of public safety, we are routing all vehicle traffic into the event from Jackson Street onto Big Springs. Here's what to expect:
Public parking is available in the THS lots around all sides of the school EXCEPT the back lot near the band room and ROTC. That area is open to pedestrian traffic only.
Public parking is also available at CG ModelTek across from the school with one requirement. Please do not park on the grass or in the landscaping. Vehicles violating this requirement may be towed.
When leaving the event, the only vehicle egress will be on to Jackson Street. No vehicles will exit onto Big Springs going toward Wilson Ave. Expect high traffic volume and be aware of pedestrians. The Tullahoma Police Department will be directing traffic in each location. Watch for event signage and follow the officers' instructions.
The lot next to the baseball stadium is only open to placarded vendor vehicles and ADA/handicap placarded vehicles. Vehicles without a placard will be turned back toward the public parking areas.
When possible, we ask that large groups of event-goers carpool and plan ahead for traffic delays between 3pm and 11pm on Jackson St. Through traffic on Wilson Avenue will remain open, but access to the event venue from Wilson Avenue is closed. Vehicles must enter and exit from Jackson St.
There is additional parking at the D.W. Wilson Community Center and surrounding area if you are willing to walk down the greenway into the event from Frazier McEwen Park. There is a pedestrian crossing on Wilson Avenue that will be open.
We appreciate your patience as we navigate the traffic challenges, and we look forward to having a great event celebrating the 249th United States Independence Day with you.
