Posting these screenshots because this isn’t a one off glitch. This is a long running problem that coach owners have been dealing with for years. I hope Firefly will step up, communicate, and deliver the level of reliability that the RV community deserves.
Woke up this morning to a required software update for my coach that completely took down my VegaTouch Eclipse system. Followed the instructions exactly. Updated the software, cycled the 12 volt system, disconnected the module, restarted the coach and plugged everything back in.
Now the app cannot see the module at all. The Eclipse unit is stuck flashing green, Bluetooth will not scan or pair, and the entire system is completely unusable.
While troubleshooting, I went back to look at the app store pages for all of Firefly’s different control apps, and it’s honestly hard to ignore what’s happening across the board. Mira, Eclipse, Nebula, Pluto and Aurora are all sitting at one or two star averages with long histories of reviews showing the same issues. Connectivity failures, update problems, frozen modules, and basic functions breaking after patches.
At some point, there has to be some accountability. These systems are not optional add ons. They control lighting, HVAC, power management, shades and critical coach functions. RV owners depend on these systems working every single day, and the pattern across all versions of the software tells a pretty clear story.
