Isolated to widely scattered thunderstorms are possible Thursday afternoon & evening across northeast Oklahoma and northwest Arkansas. Additional thunderstorms are expected Thursday night into Friday. Locally damaging wind gusts are the primary severe threat, with hail being a secondary threat.

(12:45pm Update)

Thunderstorms capable of producing scattered severe/damaging winds will be possible this afternoon and evening from parts of the southern Plains eastward into the lower Mississippi Valley and Southeast. Scattered severe wind gusts are possible over southern Arizona late this afternoon through the evening.

NWS Tulsa:
There is a slight risk for severe storms across portions of northeast Oklahoma and all of northwest Arkansas this afternoon and evening and a marginal risk for most of the remainder of eastern Oklahoma. Pockets of damaging winds up to 75 mph are the main threat. Marginally severe hail is also possible.

NWS Norman:
Scattered strong-severe storms are expected across much of Oklahoma and perhaps into western-north Texas on this afternoon into tonight. Damaging winds, hail and lightning will be a concern.

Thunderstorms with severe wind gusts and hail will be possible this afternoon and evening across parts of the central and northern Plains. Severe wind gusts may also occur in parts of the Ozarks, mid Mississippi Valley, lower Ohio Valley, Mid-Atlantic and Arizona.

NWS Tulsa:
There is a marginal risk of severe weather this afternoon into early Thursday night across portions of northeast Oklahoma and northwest Arkansas. Damaging wind gusts are the primary hazard, though marginally severe hail may also occur.

NWS Norman:
Severe thunderstorms are possible Today across portions of northern Oklahoma, roughly north of I-40 with the highest risk in far northern Oklahoma. Large hail & damaging wind gusts are the potential severe hazards.

Clusters of storms will move across parts of the Allegheny Plateau into the Mid-Atlantic, with potential for widespread damaging wind gusts. Additional severe thunderstorms are expected across the Great Plains this afternoon and evening, posing a risk for severe wind gusts and large hail.

NWS Tulsa:
Low storm chances exist Saturday afternoon into early evening, but the higher potential for storms is Saturday mid evening and overnight with an approaching storm complex. A risk for severe weather exists north of Interstate 40. Locally damaging winds are the main threat in addition to a locally heavy rain threat.

NWS Norman:
A cluster of strong to severe storms will be possible Saturday afternoon into the overnight hours. Large hail and damaging wind gusts are the primary hazards.
