A million people, 11 days and only 24 arrests. Not exactly the Tulsa State Fair stat we expected. 🎡

Last year, deputies handled 168 calls for service and reunited 94 lost kids with their families during the fair.

Now we’re about to run it back.

Tulsa State Fair returns October 1–11.

Downtown Tulsa finally has a grocery store — and no, we’re not talking about Dollar General. 😂🛒

Oasis Fresh Market is now open at 6th & Cincinnati, bringing a new option for people who actually live and work downtown.

The market has fresh produce, meat, everyday groceries and grab-and-go food, including sushi and prepared meals.

Definitely a different grocery run than downtown Tulsa is used to.

Tulsa Public Schools is considering closing or consolidating 17 school sites as the district looks to address a roughly $12 million budget gap.

The changes would begin with the 2027–28 school year and include elementary, middle and high school sites across Tulsa. Springdale Elementary, pictured here, is one of the schools on the list.

The proposal is not final. Families and community members will have opportunities to weigh in before the TPS Board makes a final decision.

For a lot of Tulsa families, this could mean a pretty big change to where their kids go to school.

17 Tulsa schools could close.

Tulsa Public Schools is considering a major consolidation plan as the district faces a roughly $12 million budget gap.

The proposal includes 17 school sites, but nothing is final yet. The TPS Board is expected to vote Oct. 19.

For a decision that could reshape schools across Tulsa, there’s still plenty of discussion ahead.

OU’s quarterback is for sale in Tulsa… for $1.

A Tulsa Facebook Marketplace post is getting attention after someone jokingly listed Oklahoma quarterback John Mateer for sale following the Sooners’ recent performances.

The listing starts simple: “Low ball offers accepted. We know what we have.”

Then the description gets progressively worse.

The seller calls Mateer “lightly used,” says expectations are not included and offers to consider trades for a functional quarterback, a working offensive line or “literally anybody who can complete a forward pass when it matters.”

The asking price?

One NIL bag of expired Doritos and a lightly used football.

And the listing closes with perhaps the best line:

“Serious inquiries only. No lowballers. I know what I DON’T have.”

Just another completely normal day on Facebook Marketplace in Oklahoma. 😂

A federal immigration operation in Austin ended with a man hospitalized Sunday.

An ICE officer was involved in an incident following a traffic stop in North Austin that left one man injured. He was taken to the hospital and was reported in serious but stable condition.

Austin police say their officers were not involved in the federal operation. Their Special Investigations Unit responded afterward as authorities work to determine exactly what happened.

Austin Mayor Kirk Watson has called for an investigation with independent oversight.

More details are expected as the investigation continues.

A $4 billion project could change a small Oklahoma town…

A massive aluminum smelter is proposed for Inola, just east of Tulsa.

Supporters point to new jobs, investment and more aluminum being produced here in the U.S.

But not everyone in town is sold.

Some residents have raised concerns about emissions and what a project this size could mean for the surrounding community.

For now, Inola has paused heavy industrial development as the debate continues.

And next spring, voters are expected to get their say.

$4 billion in investment is a lot for any Oklahoma town.

There’s a steamroller in the middle of the street in Norman and they’re using it to make art…

Artists took over the block today with live painting, giant woodblock prints, music and a community wall anyone can paint on.

Definitely not something you see every Saturday.

Any guesses where this photo was taken from in Tulsa…?

Today was 918 day and there were many local businesses and festivities being celebrated throughout the day.

The downtown part of the city specifically was filled with pedestrians dancing, delicious food being enjoyed, and laughing flooded the streets.

Tulsa got a little taste of Greece tonight. 🇬🇷

Greek Fest is back with Greek food, music, dancing and plenty of Alpha beer flowing. 🍺

People were already filling the tables, hitting the dance floor and enjoying a pretty perfect evening with the Tulsa skyline in the background.

If you’ve never been, this is one of those Tulsa traditions worth checking out at least once.
