It’s my 10yr old with impeccable timing at the end 🫠😅

This eight year age gap really has me doing this baby stage different. I’ve enjoyed the diaper-less days, easy travel, and uninterrupted nights. So this “starting over” is more like “starting wiser” knowing how fast these times go, I’m not stressing over the small things.

Now don’t get me wrong it doesn’t make things easy peasy, I definitely have my hard moments, but I’m able to move on from them quicker and remind myself that it’s okay and it’s not going to last forever.

You know what is also okay? Moms getting cute nails for Mothers Day (cue in shameless nail plug 😏) is having their 25% off Mothers Day Sale and I give you permission to spoil yourself 💅😘 And it’s proven that seeing glimpses of cute nails while you’re doing alllllllll the mom things gives you a hit a dopamine, therefore motivating you to keep getting things done 💪……and by proven I mean my own opinion 😁🤍

Why do the little things that make life easier feel so hard to start sometimes?

I’m 9 months postpartum and my cycle came back last week so my sweet tooth was really working overtime.

This week I’m trying to be a little more intentional with my snacks and get in good protein.

A little hack I like to do with my protein shakes is prep the dry ingredients into snack bags so for the rest of the week all I have to do is dump, add the wet ingredients, and blend!

Future me is grateful. Current me almost didn’t do it 🫠

I’ve been a little quiet over here lately🤍
I made a last minute trip home before the big storm to help navigate some medical stuff with my dad, and be there for my mama. It just so happened to be her birthday the day after I got there so we took some time to celebrate which was special and much needed during the chaos of everything else. To know her, is to love her, and she never ceases to amaze me with her strength.

It was my first solo flights with the baby and she couldn’t have done any better, she nursed and slept a lot of the time and made everyone behind us melt in their seats with her smile and giggles he rest of the time 😅😍 She also brought a lot of joy to grandma and papa and that was sweet to see. So thankful for my husband who didn’t think twice about getting me home when my parents needed me, and holding down the fort with the big kids.

My dad has a long road of recovery ahead to build his strength back up, but is making improvements and I’m grateful I was able to start to see those before I left.

It was some hard days, sweet moments, and a lot of gratitude for the blessings in between. Thanks to everyone that has reached out and checked in on my dad 🤍
