Rattlesnakes and hot tubs?! Didn't have that on my 2026 bingo card but here we are! Remember, wildlife need food, water, and shelter too! And while we may not realize it, there are small things we do that may invite some unwelcome critters, such as rattlesnakes, into our own backyard! Critter Craft Club: Starry Night Sparkle Snake Art Class

Join us for a unique art experience featuring live reptiles, held every Monday and open to all ages!

The Theme: On Sept. 28th, we'll be creating a sparkling masterpiece: the "Starry Night Sparkle Snake," inspired by the classic Van Gogh-style background and a shimmering serpent design.

What's Included: This is more than just an art class! Each 90-minute session includes:

Guided Instruction to help you create your artwork.

Interaction with 4 Live Snakes! Hang out with 4 of our friendly snake ambassador animals.

All Supplies Provided. No need to bring anything; we have everything you need to create your fun and sparkly art.

Small Class Sizes ensure a personalized and fun environment.

This week at the Critter Craft Club, we are celebrating the incredible Argentine Black and White Tegu with a spectacular live animal encounter and a supersized crafting session.

🦎 Meet Scout, our Argentine Black and White Tegu!

Before we break out the craft supplies, club members will get up close and personal with a real Argentine Tegu.

•Learn fascinating facts: Discover why they have those beautiful black and white stripes and how they survive in the wild.

•Ask the expert: Bring all your biggest reptile questions for a fun, interactive Q&A session alongside our scaly guest, Scout the Tegu.

✂️ Craft Your Own 2-Foot Wiggling Lizard

After getting inspired by the real deal, we will dive into a hands-on art and engineering project.

•Supersized Fun: Every participant will color, cut, and construct a massive, 2-foot-long tegu craft to take home.

•Articulated Movement: Using special brass fasteners, we will connect the body segments so your giant paper lizard can actually wiggle and ypu can pose it just like a real tegu!

•Creative Customization: Use our simplified templates to recreate the tegu's iconic stripes, or let your imagination run wild and invent a brand-new colorful species.

📅 Details

Duration: 90 action-packed minutes of learning and crafting.

Who Can Join: All ages are welcome! (Younger crafters may just need a little grown-up help for the cutting and hole-punching).

What You Take Home: Your very own 2-foot, jointed tegu to display in your home or bedroom!

✨️Critter Craft Club✨ ️Mixed-Media Hermit Crab

This week at the Critter Craft Club, we are thrilled to introduce you to the newest member of our animal ambassador team: Dwebble the Hermit Crab!

🦀Did you know that hermit crabs aren't actually true crabs? Unlike other crabs, they don't grow their own shells. Instead, they are nature's ultimate recyclers, moving into empty shells left behind by sea snails and trading up as they grow!

The Experience (90 Minutes):

🐚We will spend the first 20 minutes of class meeting Dwebble, observing how he moves, and learning all about his fascinating, shell-swapping lifestyle. We will have a microscope with some crab molts, shells, and other related items to look at up close!

🖼Then, it's time to come out of our shells and get crafting! Inspired by Dwebble’s resourcefulness, artists will create a vibrant Mixed-Media Hermit Crab Habitat. Participants will use fine-art coloring techniques to bring their hermit crab cut-out to life. Then, using a "decoupage" method, they will sort, tear, and layer recycled magazines by color to build a custom beach landscape (sand, ocean waves, and sky) for their crab to explore. The result is a highly textured, eco-friendly masterpiece!

Class Details:

● Cost: $15 per artist (Includes all premium art supplies and animal interaction)

● Ages: 4 and up! (Note: To ensure a safe gallery environment, artists ages 4 and 5 must be accompanied by an adult. Ages 6+ may be dropped off).

● Schedule: Choose your 90-minute Monday session at checkout!
