There’s a bit of healing that comes from channeling our anger, sadness, and heartbreak into something good. These past few weeks and months have been heavy — thinking about sweet Rose and the other cats who’ve been so violently taken from us. So many questions remain, and no, I won’t stop asking them or pushing for accountability. One attack was too many.
But now, we look forward.
On Sunday, despite the cold, a group of us came together to clean up a small neighborhood triangle — a place that will soon hold painted rocks with our cats’ faces and names, a memorial space to honor them. I can already envision it becoming a place of peace and reflection for all of us cat owners.
We’re not done yet — another cleanup day (or two) is likely ahead, and we’d love your help.
Thank you to everyone who’s donated, reached out, shared their stories, or simply stood beside us. This isn’t over, but together we’re turning our grief into something meaningful. 💛🐾
