For our Fall 2020 issue, Penumbraonline.org is calling for work by Black women authors and artists as part of our Black Voices and Experiences series. We especially welcome work by Black trans women for this issue. We are dedicated to creating a supportive space for Black women’s creative productions across multiple media and genres. We accept fiction, non-fiction, poetry, art, and hybrid literatu

Each artist can submit two unpublished pieces in the forms of poetry, art, fiction, non-fiction, photography and any hybrid form. This edition doesn’t have a specific theme, so please submit your favorite pieces!

Over the summer, we had the honor of interviewing the amazing Liliana Figueroa-Larios! Liliana is responsible for creating the cover for Luke Valmadrid’s poetry chapbook “After a good day, through the night”.
