বাংলাদেশি নাগরিকদের জন্য যুক্তরাষ্ট্রের ভ্রমণ ও ব্যবসা ভিসা প্রক্রিয়ায় নতুন কড়াকড়ি আরোপ করা হয়েছে।

ভিসা অনুমোদিত হলে ৬ থেকে ১৮ লাখ টাকা পর্যন্ত জামানত জমা দেওয়ার বাধ্যবাধকতা থাকবে 💰।
এই বিধান কার্যকর হবে ২১ জানুয়ারি ২০২৬ থেকে।

ভিসা ইন্টারভিউয়ের সময় কনস্যুলার অফিসার নির্ধারণ করবেন জামানতের পরিমাণ, যা হতে পারে ৫,০০০, ১০,০০০ অথবা ১৫,০০০ মার্কিন ডলার।

নির্ধারিত অর্থ মার্কিন ট্রেজারি বিভাগের অনলাইন পোর্টাল (Pay.gov)–এর মাধ্যমে জমা দিতে হবে।

বন্ডের আওতায় ভিসা পাওয়া ব্যক্তিরা যুক্তরাষ্ট্রের সব বিমানবন্দর ব্যবহার করতে পারবেন না। তাদের প্রবেশ ও প্রস্থান করতে হবে কেবল নিম্নোক্ত তিনটি বিমানবন্দরের যেকোনো একটি দিয়ে:

১) নিউইয়র্কের জন এফ. কেনেডি আন্তর্জাতিক বিমানবন্দর (JFK)
২) ওয়াশিংটন ডুলেস আন্তর্জাতিক বিমানবন্দর (IAD)
৩) বোস্টন লোগান আন্তর্জাতিক বিমানবন্দর (BOS)

ভিসার মেয়াদ শেষ হওয়ার আগে যুক্তরাষ্ট্র ত্যাগ করলে অথবা মেয়াদে ভ্রমণ না করলে জমা দেওয়া অর্থ স্বয়ংক্রিয়ভাবে ফেরত দেওয়া হবে।
তবে অনুমোদিত সময়ের বেশি অবস্থান (Overstay), স্ট্যাটাস পরিবর্তন বা রাজনৈতিক আশ্রয়ের (Asylum) আবেদন করলে জামানতের অর্থ বাজেয়াপ্ত হবে।

The name 'Qatar' was first used by the Roman writer Pliny the Elder and referred to the inhabitants of the region called Catharra.

Qatar has the world’s lowest female population by percentage of total population. Just 24.7% of its population is female!

Interestingly, Qataris are the minority in their own country!
