🏈 HALFTIME THOUGHTS 👀
A few things stood out to me after the first half:
🔥 Keelon Russell is the best player on the field right now. He’s been making plays and looks completely in control.
⚠️ Turnovers are keeping Mississippi State in this game. We’ve got to clean those up in the second half.
👀 Dijon Lee Jr. has been inconsistent, and unfortunately, he gave up a touchdown. He’ll need to bounce back.
💥 Devan Thompkins has been VERY disruptive and continues to make his presence felt.
⭐ Xavier Griffin is looking like a budding superstar. I thought he may have been held on that hands-to-the-face penalty, but either way, he’s been impressive.
❓ EJ Crowell: Injured or just being limited? Hopefully, we get some clarity there.
🧱 Huge defensive stop to close out the half. That could prove to be a momentum-changing moment.
🚨 Mississippi State’s up-tempo offense is creating problems. The speed is causing issues with alignment and individual assignments, and that needs to be cleaned up.
📈 Kamario Taylor looked out of sync early, but he seemed to settle down and get more comfortable as the half progressed.
Overall, there’s plenty to clean up, but there were also some encouraging signs.
What stood out to you most in the first half? 🤔🏈
