There is beauty in hard work. It’s good to stretch, to sacrifice, to give ourselves fully to the work God has placed in front of us. Some seasons require more of us. There are times when the late nights and early mornings are part of what faithfulness looks like. But those seasons were never meant to become the shape of our lives.
The danger comes when the exception becomes the norm. When hustle becomes identity. When productivity becomes the measure of our worth. When we’re so busy doing things for God that we forget to be with God.
Jesus worked hard. He poured Himself out. But He also rested. He withdrew. He lingered with friends. He made time for interruptions. He walked at a pace that made room for compassion.
We weren’t made to live frantic and fragmented. The life God invites us into is one of depth, not just speed. Of presence, not just performance. Of abiding, not just achieving.
If your pace is costing you your joy, your relationships, your soul, it’s okay to pay attention to that. Your limits are not a problem to solve. They are an invitation to return to the Source.
Because you were not created for a life you don’t have time for.
