🎥 🇺🇸 I often find myself in moments during an on-camera interview when I realize: the camera is doing more than just capturing a story. It’s uncovering what God has been building in His people all along. 🤍

LED lights. Room tone. A steady lens. And then: something holy.

Not loud or staged. Real and up close. 🕯️😭

This conversation reminded me of something simple: God loves to surround His people with ministries like Pine Cove. And a Christ-centered donor community that doesn’t just “support the mission”… they strengthen the calling. They help us see what God sees: called, equipped, and worth pouring out. 🙏🤝

I left this on-camera interview with a full heart. For me, storytelling is one of the clearest ways to glorify Jesus: to honor obedience, selfless sacrifice, and the “Yes and Amen” that costs something great for Someone even greater. ✝️✨

🎥 : The most important part of any story isn’t the product or service. It’s the person. 👤

I can be filming at a truck yard. In a clinic. In an office. In a sanctuary. Different industry. Different service line. Same reality: every person in front of the lens is carrying an eternal story. 🎬 A whole journey with the Lord that nobody else can fully measure. 🙏

Somebody’s learning to trust again. Somebody’s coming back from shame. Somebody’s praying in secret, asking God to hold them together one more day.

And that changes how we work.

In fact, what would be able to change if we treated the people in our world like they’re more valuable than the outcomes we’re chasing?

“Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves. Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others.” Philippians 2:3–4 (ESV) 📖

Have you heard of Rose Heights Church ?! 💪🏽 Every month, Rose Heights men of all ages in Tyler and Lindale get together and pray, break donuts, and walk out James 1:27 in our communities because we desire to not just be hearers of the word, but doers.

God does not call us to sit idly and complain about the great sufferings of this world in lieu of banding together to make the small amount of impact He has equipped us to embody.

Love One Another.

It’s a great phrase. An even better lifestyle.

Join us in June 2026! It’s one of my favorite days of the month! 🙌🏽✝️❤️‍🩹

🎥 : Last week was one of those filming days that reminded me why I love this work so much. 😄🎬

There’s nothing quite like watching people loosen up once the cameras roll. And while it’s perfectly normal and to-be-expected that folks be a bit unsure at first, I love getting to watch that nervousness melt away as people get comfortable and start to just be themselves. One of my favorite parts about being on-set is seeing real personalities come out, hearing genuine laughter, and getting to direct moments that actually feel like *them*. 😂🙌

That’s really all I need to get the shot!

And I love being able to remind organizations that it’s who they are that matters in every moment. I’m just there to publish that.

We had so much fun bringing out the silliness that’s baked into this team’s culture. Getting to meet so many kind people and watch those smiles come alive on camera was the best part of the day. 🤝😁

Takeaway: the best brand moments aren’t forced. They’re revealed.

“For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.” (Ephesians 2:10, ESV) ✝️

You can have the car, the house, the title, the comfort… and still feel like something is missing.

In Matthew 19, the rich young ruler had wealth, status, and success, but when Jesus invited him to let go and follow, he walked away sorrowful. Not because he owned many things, but because those things owned him.

The question is not just, “What do I have?”
It’s, “What has a hold on me?”

Eternal life is not something we earn. It is a gift from God. But following Jesus means more than adding Him to the life we already planned. It means surrender.

What are you holding onto that is keeping you from fully following Him?

🎥 : Too often, I see organizations and nonprofits make this cinematic slip-up:

The scripts. The shots. The scenes. Are all about…themselves. 👑😳🎬

Could you imagine if James Cameron panned away from Jack and Rose on the bow of the Titanic and instead decided to take a selfie? Or if George Lucas made Luke Skywalker sit and listen to a narrative fiction filmmaker’s existential woes? The theaters would’ve been confused and empty before it even reached the director’s credit. Why?

Because an organization’s mission statement is not pointed to itself, so why would its camera lenses be? 🎥

No, the story is in the served.

Through your words, audiences know THAT you care. Through your video, audiences know HOW you care. And a video all about yourself proves what you and who your focus lens is on.

Turns out, video, just like life, is better lived for someone else. Rack your focus on the communities you care about. Zoom in on the struggles and victories of your clients. And let them know you see them by seeing less of yourself. 🎥🎬📸

“The life appeared; we have seen it and testify to it, and we proclaim to you the eternal life, which was with the Father and has appeared to us. We proclaim to you what we have seen and heard, so that you also may have fellowship with us. And our fellowship is with the Father and with his Son, Jesus Christ.“ (1 John 1:2–4)

🎥 : Your Brand Story is not simply about you, but about who you are in the “Hero’s Journey” of another. The impact God allowed you to make towards the victory someone else was given permission to walk in. And dance in. 🕺🏽

I love serving God with brands, like Clements Fluids, who not only trust this, but also tell of it.

Because a brand says something about who you believe others were created be in Christ.

A brand says “God can,” even when you falsely tell yourself you can’t.

And a brand says, “God’s details make all the difference.”

When we count others before ourselves, our brand story is published, posted and personified.

The Author perfects it. 🕊️

Because Christ our Lord promised it. ✝️

💭 : I’ve been sitting in the last chapters of Job lately. 🌪 And what keeps hitting me is this: God doesn’t explain every “why.” He points Job to Himself — steady ground in a shaking world.

That’s exactly why I made this video on selfishness. Not because God thinks we’re small. Because we’re loved. Fixating on self can’t heal the ache; it can’t carry the weight. So God does the kindest thing: He turns our eyes to the only One who can. ✝️

Job wanted a Mediator. A Redeemer. Someone to stand in the gap. Three words. One longing. And God was already pointing there: Jesus.

Jesus doesn’t just talk about suffering. He steps into it. Bears it. Breaks it. 🕊

“I know that my Redeemer lives, and at the last he will stand upon the earth.” (Job 19:25, ESV)

🎥 : I’ll never forget the moment I heard Spencer Brooks’ story for the first time. As a Video Storyteller, God allows me to create a lot of rooms with cameras, lighting plans, and shot lists. But some stories do more than just “film well”… they settle into your chest. 🕊️

A precious family staring down a diagnosis. A prognosis that felt like a prison. And then the slow, heart wrenching reality of autism regression; carrying questions, pain, and the kind of fatigue you can’t explain unless you’ve lived it.

“And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good…” (Romans 8:28, ESV)

Watching Samantha and Eric fight for their child reminded me that love looks like perseverance. It looks like showing up again, and again, and again. When you’re angry, uncertain, burdened by guilt, weighed down by shame, and surrounded by fear.

But God. But hope.

“Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God.” (Isaiah 41:10, ESV)

Seeing how Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) has been part of Spencer’s story has stirred something in me. Not because life is suddenly easy. But because God is still attentive. Still present. Still faithful in the middle of what feels impossible. 🏔️

I’m timelining this story with fresh reverence for the way God watches over our well-being. Even when our emotions are loud and our answers are few. 🤨

If you’re walking through a hard chapter with your family, I’m praying this story helps you feel seen. You’re not alone. The Book of Life is a story of us. And of Him. ✝️

“The LORD is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit.” (Psalm 34:18, ESV)
