Girls trip to Tyler- Cole and Co. ! Make sure this is one of your stops and allow at least an hour here. Mother and daughter duo, Debby and Nicole, have created a beautiful store with a little bit of everything. Make sure you join their email list because you’ll wanna come back for some of their special events throughout the year. Painting classes, Mahjong, and seasonal events where vendors come in store and offer unique items, one of a kind. They offer bridal registry, and a huge online website. Customer service is their deal. And if you need a gift wrap, they can normally do it while you wait. We think you’ll love this place!

We all have those nights when we just need something quick and easy!! This is perfect!! Use what you have in your pantry and voilà…you have an easy dinner that took maybe 30 minutes!!

Another fabulous “church lady” recipe! This is one that Pam and I have both loved and made for years!! It’s a great make ahead dish! We’ve used it for luncheons and dinners…it’s just great for entertaining. It’s light and fresh tasting and kids LOVE it!! We love it served over rice, but it’s good on its own too!! Y’all should try this one!!

Pancake Chicken

4-6 chicken breasts, halved
1 c dry pancake mix
1 stick butter, melted
1t celery salt
1t garlic salt
1t dried parsley
1t pepper
2 c orange juice
Juice of 2 lemons
1/4 c brown sugar
1t Worcestershire sauce
1 T molasses

Dredge chicken in butter and pancake mix and place in 9 x 13 dish. Sprinkle with celery salt, garlic salt, parsley and pepper. Bake covered at 275 for 2 hours. Mix orange juice, lemon juice, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce and molasses and pour over chicken. Bake uncovered at 250 for 1 hour. Serve over rice(or on its own) and enjoy!!

Life sometimes gets in the way of what you’ve got planned. Fall is not even here and we are busier than expected. We’re not 🛑going anywhere. We Just need to take a little break to get our ideas down and our plans for the next season. Between family, trips and just every day stuff… We’re burning the candle at both ends. So we’ll see y’all again in about two or three weeks… Don’t give up and don’t leave. We love ❤️ you all and are so appreciative of every one of you that follows,comments and cheers us on.
So for now, we’ll post intermittently, but come end of September… Watch out 👀we’re coming in hot!

OOTD…and it’s all Gap !! They are having a BIG sale right now. I think they have such good basics! I have a lot of Gap stuff!! I love the price and the fit!

Sooooooo….this is the OTHER green bean recipe that Pam told you all about!! It’s just a good old fashioned recipe!! Lots of bacon(and bacon fat) and cooks low and slow for hours!! I’ve always used canned green beans for this, but I’m sure it would work with fresh as well. It’s our family favorite(except for Pam)and is on most of our family holiday tables! Y’all try these!!

Southern Green Beans

3 cans Blue Lake cut green beans(drained)
6 slices bacon, diced
1 medium onion, diced
4 cups chicken stock
Salt and pepper to taste

In a small saucepan, brown your bacon. Add the onion and cook until softened. Add the drained green beans and the stock. Salt and pepper to taste. I let cook for about 3 hours(or longer) on medium low stirring and checking to see if I need to add more liquid! Enjoy!!

Bus Bites episode 5!! Y’all we love sweet Courtney Bales ! She is just a doll and when we saw her do these ritz crackers covered in chocolate…well we had to try them! She did hers with the cheese filled, but we decided we wanted to try the peanut butter filled! They did not disappoint!! Yummmm! Y’all try these!!

Bus Bites-Chocolate Covered Ritz Bits

1 box peanut butter Ritz bits mini crackers
2 cups melted milk chocolate(we melted ours in the microwave

In a large bowl, mix the above together. Spread in a parchment lined cookie sheet. Let cool. Break apart and enjoy!!

Santa Fe -y’all put this city on your bucket list. You can stay for days and not see all of it. Museum, stores, food-there is so much to do and see. I’ve tagged a few of the stores that I visited. And heads up I’ve given some good clues as to where to get vintage Navajo pearls as well as some of the best antiques I found while I was there.
