It sure is a blessing to live in rural South Dakota. When a farmer is down, fellow neighbors and farmers come to the rescue and lend a helping hand. It's Homecoming Week at Bon Homme High School. Show your Cavalier spirit this supporting the activities at the school as well as participate in the annual lights parade Thursday evening. Congratulations to King Zach and Queen Amelia who will reign over BHHS Homecoming 2025. More pictures from coronation inside this week's issue (October 1). Remember county commissioners meetings are now held Wednesdays with the first one this week. Farmers are busy in the fields this time of year whether it be chopping silage, combining high more corn or today a farmer was combining beans. The Midwest Little League Team (Sioux Falls) plays tonight (August 19) at 6 p.m. CT. They will be playing Northwest. Cheer on the local boys and coaches. Go get 'em!!

Kenneth Rothschadl
Kenneth Rothschadl, 89, of Tyndall died August 17, 2025 at the Good Samaritan Society, Tyndall.
Visitation will be Thursday, August 21 from 5 to 6:30 p.m. with rosary and a wake service to follow at St. Leo Catholic Church in Tyndall. Funeral Mass is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Friday, August 22 at the church with internment to follow.

August 18 at 6 p.m. (central time) on ESPN the Midwest Little League Team will take the field in Pennsylvania following their first round 2-0 win over Pennsylvania last Thursday. How many of you know the small town of Tyndall is being represented at the Little League World Series? General Manager, Ryan Vavruska grew up in Tyndall where his parents, Steve and Teresa Vavruska still reside. Ryan's son, #9 Player Landon is a player on the Midwest Team. Also having roots in Tyndall and playing on the team is #17 Camden Tycz who is the son of Mark and Amy Tycz. Mark's mom, Darlene still lives in Tyndall along with a large part of Mark's siblings. Who would have known a small town in rural South Dakota would have two amazing players competing in the Little League World Series. Best of luck to Camden, Landon and Coach Ryan during future games in Pennsylvania. You make Tyndall proud!! The first photo was taken during the tournament in Indiana as the Sioux Falls Team won the championship and headed onto the Little League World Series to represent the Midwest states. Camden on the left and Landon on the right with Coach Ryan. The second photo is the Midwest Team in Pennsylvania. Tyndall residents tune into ESPN and cheer on the team from the Midwest state.
