"Teaching your kids about eating healthy doesn’t have to be boring. My girls & I had a little after-school playdate with some friends recently & I turned it into a fun art project & healthy eating lesson for all of them. I kept it simple by printing some rainbow placemats & buying colorful food stickers. Then the girls placed them on the coordinating color & saw how many healthy foods there are that are super yummy, too. We also read a book about eating the rainbow & enjoyed a healthy “rainbow” snack."

I asked my boys what healthy means to them. They said eating healthy foods like fruits and veggies.

This got us talking about childhood poverty and how not all kids have access to healthy foods.

Then we started talking about Red Nose Day USA

We decided to paint kindness rocks into fruits & veggies we think are healthy!

If you didn’t know, Red Nose Day is a campaign run by the non-profit organization Comic Relief that supports programs that ensure children are healthy, safe, educated and empowered. Their goal is to end childhood poverty. Walgreens is the exclusive retailer for Red Nose Day.
