Pro Stock Motorcycle Has A New Points Leader.

The Vance & Hines team came out swinging during qualifying at the NHRA 4-Wide Carolina Nationals, with Gaige Herrera grabbing the top spot with a 6.757, Richard Gadson following in the second position with a 6.760. and Rookie of the Year contender Brayden Davis qualifying in the six spot with a .6.837.

Despite Herrera shining brightly during qualifying, it was Gadson who looked intimidating after winning all three quads to win his first race in the Countdown to the Championship on a motorcycle that was so consistent that his three runs were only separated by 0.147 seconds after running a 6.796, 6.809, and a 6.803 in the final to defeat Matt Smith, Angie Smith, and Jianna Evaristo all from Matt Smith Racing.

Gadson expressed how happy he was during the post race interview as he avenged his teammates after they were eliminated in the first round. Has he took on a trio of MSR motorcycles and his first time taking the points lead in 2025, making the experience is extra special for him.

Dallas Scores Nineteenth Pro Stock Win

From the beginning of Friday throughout Saturday's qualifying sessions, it was KB Titan Racing showing strength in the Pro Stock category. Dallas was able to hold off teammate Greg Anderson to claim his sixth number one qualifier of 2025, not on elapse time, but on mph as both drivers went 6.535. The deciding factor was .49 mph to put Glenn at the top of the charts.

In the first round of eliminations, Glenn was able to win his quad by defeating Troy Coughlin Jr., Greg Stanfield, and Aaron Stanfield. This being a.four wide affair, Aaron Stanfield, would transfer to the next round with Glenn. Glenn's winning time was a 6.529 at 209.65 mph with Stanfield right behind him with a 6.545 at 209.56 to advance to the semi-finals.

The second round shaped up with Aaron Stanfield coming out with a holeshot win over runner-up Dallas Glenn. Stanfield was .021 on the tree with Stanfield having the third quickest reaction time of .042. Stanfield went down the track to post a 6.559 at 209.36 mph to Glenn's 6.540 at 209.62 mph.

If you ask both drivers about the situation of running each other in the first round, semi-finals and race again in the finals, they will both tell you it's very difficult to defeat the other over and over, but that's the situation we're in for these four-wide events.

The final round was a test of power between two teams, KB Titan and Elite Motorsports, as Greg Anderson and Erica Enders joined Glenn and Stanfield. All four drivers laid down impressive reaction times with Dallas Glenn leading the way with a .016 followed by Stanfield with a .022, Anderson. 031 and Enders. 032. Stanfield had to shut his Camaro off after having tire shake before sixty feet. This made it a three person battle to the end. It was Glenn getting the traps first with an elapse time of 6.554 to edge out his teammate Anderson by only .023 seconds as Enders crossed the traps with a 6.572 making the round exciting for the spectators on Sunday afternoon. The victory marked Glenn's twentieth NHRA national event win and his nineteenth in the Pro Stock category and second in the Countdown to the Championship.
