The 29th International Liana & Ruben Cohen Music Festival took place in Zipper Hall at Corburn School on March 30th, 2025. It was an amazing and successful event.
First pictures shows The students who performed, and at the end they received a beautiful certificate, medals, trophies and monetary awards.

3rd picture: one of the trophies of the winners. The important is that the expierience of this day will be carved in the memory of this young musicians for ever,

God willing the next concert will take place at Zipper Hall on March 8, 2026.
We will also celebrate the 30th anniversary of Liana & Ruben Cohen Music Festival.

What a beginning to the year 2025!

We at Liana Cohen foundation send you our prayers, hoping you and all your family members are safe despite everything that has happened. After the fires, we hesitated to send out information regarding the 2025 Liana and Ruben Cohen Competition Festival. The flyers were ready to be sent. We were just concerned about families who lost their homes and their belongings.
I can understand their feelings. We were also told to pack and be ready for possible evacuation. I looked around our house and asked myself what I should pack. The answer I came up with was “ Nothing”, not even our children’s albums, my framed paintings, books, or musical instruments.
I just placed our passports and a few papers in the
carryon. I looked around feeling grateful for all the precious memories we had experienced in our house and peacefully continued the evening, thinking about the powerful “Rosh Hashana" prayer that predicts “How many shall pass away and how many shall be born in the new year, who shall live and who shall die; etc.…” Every day I get a deeper understanding of the true meaning of these words. Life goes on, but if we have been lucky to have been protected, we have to try our best.
Finally, I realized that this is the message of Liana and Ruben Cohen Festival’s legacy. Losing one child is very difficult. We have lost two amazing children. But as we cannot bring them back, we can at least try to keep their memories alive and spread goodness. May their memories be a blessing for all.
