Harvest 2020 with

Following a long night of Pinot Noir drinking,
comes the early mornings of Pinot Noir making.

The sorting, trimming, and ninja-like shuffling these farmers do in the chilly California mornings (what… it gets cold here, too…) is an elegant ballet that results in what we wine snobs like to call…

Good. Ass. Vino. (GAV)

But GAV is only possible when the fruit is picked at the perfect time… and sometimes that time is 5 in the frickin’ mornin’.

Welp. I think I’ve earned a glass.

Throwback to when we had the honor to sit down with Justin Baldwin, Founder of Justin Winery at his gorgeous home in Southern California last year. It’s Thursday.

You’re alone.

The clock is ticking.

Thirst has come upon you again.

Your cellar is at 59º.

It’s full of GAW (Good Ass Wine)

Your palms sweat. Your fingers tingle.

There’s a whisper in the wind.

“Driiiiiiink meeeeeeeee…”

A chill goes down your spine.

There’s no escaping it.
The thirst is so real.
You can’t take it any longer.

You labor and grunt to remove yourself from your lazy boy, then head to your cellar and grab that sacred bottle of Chateauneuf du Pape even thought you have NO IDEA HOW TO PRONOUNCE IT.

You open it.
You pour it hard and fast.
You want it now.
You dip your nose into the glass and forget about everything you’ve ever known, except the fact that YOU FU***NG LOVE WINE.
