I was on a sales call yesterday and heard this banger...
“I’ve been posting for a couple of months now, but I have no idea if it’s working.”
And this is pretty common.
I mean, how do you measure if it’s working? Likes, comments, DMs, leads?
What this really tells me is that you have NO PLAN.
You are posting, hoping that something will happen.
And we all know hope is not a strategy.
But why do so many smart businesspeople fall into this trap?
Because you’re an expert at what you do.
You’re NOT a content expert.
So you try to figure out what to do.
You consume a bunch of content from Gary Vee and Hormozi or some influencer who’s 99 steps ahead of you.
You continue to spin your wheels trying these tactics, wasting precious time and energy.
You’ll get some lovely messages and comments. Maybe even a viral post.
And that’ll give you a nice hit of dopamine.
But it DOESN’T help your business.
It doesn’t bring you new opportunities. It doesn’t start conversations with potential clients.
Meanwhile, there are a bunch of people on LinkedIn who can help you reach the promised land.
Some do the work for you. Some teach you.
These individuals are experts in content creation.
They’ve made all the mistakes that you’re making now.
So instead of burning out and trying to figure everything out on your own, invest in yourself.
Work with someone who has built it before.
