On September 17th, the Guilford Courier published a letter written by Kenneth Wilson Jr. entitled “Leadership That Rises above Politics”, in which Mr. Wilson extols the virtues of the Independent Party in Guilford. The problem with his letter, is that it is intentionally misleading. Wilson writes, “When I last checked, the majority of Guilford voters were registered as Independents or Unaffiliated (7,493) vs....

Governor Ned Lamont has announced a series of executive actions his administration is implementing to ensure that Connecticut residents who wish to be vaccinated continue to have access to these vaccines. “Making vaccines accessible is grounded in health and safety, which is too important to leave to the whims of a political agenda. Vaccines have been proven for many decades to prevent serious illness, hospitalization, and death, and patients and their doctors should be able to decide what is the best course of treatment for themselves," Lamont said....

Milone’s to-do list, the stalled audit, and the leadership we need before the bill comes due Editor's note: no emphasis added outside of original post. I’ve learned a lot since I first sounded the alarm in April. I’ve tightened my process, tried hard to correct what I got wrong, and done my best to keep everything rooted in public records. Thank you to everyone who pushed back at times, asked hard questions, and stayed engaged....

First Selectman Matt Hoey Needs to Go Thank God, Republican Jonathan Trotta is running against Democrat Matt Hoey for First Selectman this November 4th. Four years ago, no one stepped up to run against First Selectman Hoey, and it is my opinion that our town has suffered as a result. Specifically, property taxes have risen significantly every year with zero discussion about reducing taxes....

Mr. Ferraiolo was hired by the Guilford Public School system to do 'transgender sensitivity training' I am writing this letter out of frustration with the Guilford Board of Education. Does everyone know who Tony Ferraiolo is? Mr. Ferraiolo is a trans man, and an outspoken activist for gender affirming care for children in Connecticut. By G.Donavan---Published in my private capacity as a natural woman, without prejudice. All rights reserved. In what appears to be a textbook case of bait-and-switch legislation, Connecticut's Public Act 25-33—originally introduced as a benign environmental initiative—was transformed into a sweepingtool for centralized control over land use and local zoning. What began as a bill concerning pesticides and environmental protection (SB9) took a dramatic turn with the quiet insertion of Senate Amendment Schedule A (LCO #8466) on May 15, 2025....

Says he's encountered censorship from The Day Publishing Company, Guilford Courier Dave Holman hasn't stayed silent on the issues affecting his town of Guilford; but after 4 years of many published letters to the editor, he's met with silence. Guilford Courier Editor Laura Robida rejected one of Holman's letters because his sources were deemed, "unreliable, right wing," and "spreaders of misinformation." ...

It’s Time for a Constitutional Response — Not Polite Discomfort by Grace Donovan On June 9, Easton’s three selectmen — David Bindelglass, Kristi Sogofsky, and Nick D’Addario — jointly submitted a letter to Governor Ned Lamont requesting a veto of HB5002.
