*Police arrested 03 drug peddlers in Udhampur; 55.3 grams of Contraband He**in recovered*

Continuing the endeavour to eradicate the menace of drugs from the society, Udhampur Police arrested three drug peddlers in 03 different cases and recovered 55.3 grams of He**in like narcotic substance from their possession.
Police party of PS Udhampur led by SHO PS Udhampur Insp. Chaman Gorka under the supervision of Addl. SP Udhampur Sh. Anwaar Ul Haq, while performing naka checking at Jakhani intercepted one suspicious person coming from Chenani towards Udhampur, who on seeing police party tried to escape from the spot but was apprehended by the alert naka party. On frisking of said apprehended person namely *Adil Jahangir S/O Akhter Hussain R/O W.No. 05, Chenani.* Udhampur police recovered 30 grams of He**in like narcotic substance from him and was arrested on spot. In this regard, Case FIR No. 38/2022 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act has been registered in PS Udhampur.
In another case, a police party from PP Tirki led by SHO PS Rehambal Insp. Nishant Gupta and assisted by IC PP Tikri PSI Abdul Satar under the supervision of DySP Hqrs. Udhampur Sh.Sahil Mahajan intercepted one namely *Amit Dubey S/O Kuldeep Dubey R/O Sallian Talab Udhampur* who was roaming in suspicious manner near PHC Tikri and recovered 15.3 grams of contraband He**in like substance from him.
In this connection, Case FIR No. 22/2022 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS act has been registered in PS Rehambal.
Similarly, one *Vipan Kumar S/O Prem Nath R/O Shiv Nagar, Udhampur* was also apprehended by the patrolling party of PP Tikri headed by PSI Abdul Satar who was roaming in suspicious circumstances near Kali Mata Temple Tikri and during frisking recovered 10 grams of Contraband He**in like substance. Case FIR No. 23/2022 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS act has been registered in PS Rehambal. Accused has been arrested on spot for the investiagtion to unearth the forward and backward linkages is going on.
