What an incredible honor for Ranch Radio Marketing Group!

Tonight, we were presented with the Bonner McLane Public Service Award by the Texas Association of Broadcasters.

This one means a lot. Through some of the most difficult days our Hill Country has faced, our team has worked to do what local radio does best—show up, share trusted information, connect people with resources, and serve the community we call home.

We’re incredibly proud of our Ranch Radio Marketing Group team and grateful to our listeners, first responders, volunteers, and neighbors who served right alongside us.

Hill Country Strong isn’t just something we say. It’s something we’re called to be.

Thank you, Texas Association of Broadcasters, for this incredible honor.

As we conclude July in our year-long series, One Month That Changed the World, we reflect on one of the most extraordinary months in American history.

In just a few short weeks, the Continental Congress voted for independence, approved the Declaration of Independence, and shared its message throughout the colonies. General George Washington had the Declaration read aloud to his troops, inspiring soldiers and citizens alike. At the same time, the British assembled the largest military force ever sent to North America, determined to end the Revolution before it could take hold.

July 1776 reminds us that America's founding was more than a single day—it was the culmination of bold ideas, difficult decisions, extraordinary sacrifice, and an unwavering belief that liberty was worth fighting for.

As we commemorate America's 250th anniversary, we're honored to continue sharing these defining moments with our communities throughout the year.

One Month That Changed the World is proudly presented by @72 Degrees Air Conditioning, Heating, and Plumbing - Texas, celebrating their 40th anniversary.

🎙️ Kerr Together Community Update

This week, Kelly with KERR Together is joined by Alix with All Hands and Hearts, an organization that has been serving Kerr County since last year's flooding and has once again stepped in to help our community.

Alix's biggest message is safety. If your home has flood damage, if it's wet, get it out. Then focus on drying your home completely using dehumidifiers, fans, and whatever you can to remove the moisture. Once everything is dry, it's time to sanitize safely before beginning the rebuilding process.

Kelly also encourages anyone impacted by the flooding to stop by or reach out to Kerr Together. Whether you need assistance with immediate needs or are beginning the long-term recovery process, their team is there to help guide you.

We enjoyed welcoming the U.S. Navy Sea Cadets’ Photojournalism Group from Schreiner University to our studios this morning!

The cadets got a behind-the-scenes look at how local radio works, toured our stations and learned what it takes to keep our communities informed and entertained.

A big thank you to Randy Houston for inviting them on-air during the Ranch Roundup on 92.3 The Ranch and to Chad Hill for sharing what goes into keeping people entertained, informed and uplifted on The Breakfast Club on The River 106.1.

Thanks for spending part of your day with us - we hope you enjoyed the visit as much as we enjoyed having you! We wish you all the best in your future endeavors!

Community matters. One of the things we love most about our stations is their commitment to giving local organizations a voice. Thanks to The River 106.1 for making time to help spread the word about this weekend's Fredericksburg High School Theater Arts fundraiser. We hope the community comes out to support these talented students and their program.

Actor/Writer/Director/Teacher David Remschel brought two students from Fredericksburg High School to share about their fundraiser happening this weekend at FHS to support the theater arts program. Did you hear them? They did a great job.

Happy Independence Day from Ranch Radio Marketing Group

As America celebrates 250 years of freedom, we reflect on the values that have carried our nation forward for generations—strength, resilience, service, and community.

Here in the Texas Hill Country, this Independence Day may feel a little different. Over the past year, we've witnessed firsthand the strength of neighbors helping neighbors, communities coming together, and the enduring spirit that defines both our country and our hometowns.

Today, we celebrate the freedoms we cherish, honor those who have sacrificed to protect them, and remember that some of our greatest strength is found in the way we support one another through both triumph and hardship.

As families gather, flags fly, and fireworks light the sky, we are grateful to call this community home.

From all of us at Ranch Radio Marketing Group, we wish you a safe, meaningful, and joyful Independence Day.

Happy 250th Birthday, America.

One Month That Changed the World

As we commemorate America's 250th anniversary, we arrive at the month that forever changed history.

On July 2, 1776, the Second Continental Congress voted that the thirteen colonies "are, and of right ought to be, free and independent States." Although Americans celebrate Independence Day on July 4, it was this vote that officially severed political ties with Great Britain.

John Adams believed July 2 would become America's great national holiday. In a letter to his wife Abigail, he predicted the day would be celebrated by future generations with "pomp and parade... bonfires and illuminations."

Two days later, Congress approved the final wording of the Declaration of Independence, giving voice to the principles behind that historic vote.

Throughout July, we'll continue exploring the moments that shaped our nation's founding through One Month That Changed the World.
