A panchayat-owned drinking water tanker overturned on the roadside in the Erumappetti-Kuttanchery-Nellikunnu area of Thrissur district after the driver reportedly lost control of the vehicle.

The frightening incident was captured on a nearby CCTV camera, and the footage has since gone viral on social media, drawing widespread attention and concern.

According to preliminary reports, the tanker suddenly went out of control and toppled onto the side of the road.

Authorities suspect that overspeeding or a possible technical malfunction may have contributed to the accident, though the exact cause is yet to be confirmed.

Fortunately, no casualties or serious injuries were reported in the incident.

Local residents stated that a major tragedy was narrowly avoided, as the tanker could have caused significant damage had it crashed into nearby buildings or pedestrians.

Police officials visited the accident spot soon after the incident and conducted a preliminary inspection.

An investigation has been launched to determine the exact reason behind the mishap and whether negligence on the part of the driver was involved.

Shockingly, a man followed a woman and behaved by pulling her dress upwards from behind at main road at , neighbouring , When the victim raised alarm, the accused fled from the spot.

Police Solves Case at Alkapur Township and Arrested the Accused.

Narsingi Police successfully solved a molestation case reported within the limits of Narsingi Police Station and apprehended the accused involved in the offence.

On 19.05.2026, a petition was received from the victim stating that on 14.05.2026 at around 01:30 hrs, while she was returning after picking up her 2.5-year-old child from a nearby play school at Alkapur Township, an unknown person followed her from the main road and behaved indecently by pulling her dress upwards from behind. When the victim raised alarm, the accused fled from the spot.

Based on the complaint, a case was registered U/s 78, 79 BNS at Narsingi Police Station. Subsequently, CCTV footage of the incident went viral on social media platforms.

Taking the incident seriously, special teams were formed and sustained efforts were made to identify and trace the offender. During the course of investigation, the police successfully apprehended the accused, namely Vadde Nagaraju S/o Anjaneyulu, aged 26 years, presently residing at Puppalguda, Gandipet Mandal, and native of chakalipally village, nawabpet mandal, Mahabubnagar District .

During interrogation and verification, it was revealed that the accused has no previous criminal antecedents and was not involved in any similar offences earlier.

A shocking incident of alleged road rage and hooliganism has surfaced from Bengaluru, where an Uber cab driver was brutally assaulted by another driver and his associates in the middle of the road near Double Road under the Wilson Garden police station limits.

The incident reportedly took place during the early hours of May 22 and came to light after CCTV footage of the assault went viral on social media, triggering widespread outrage.

According to the footage, the accused allegedly blocked the Uber cab on the road before forcibly dragging the driver out of the vehicle. The victim was then repeatedly punched and kicked by multiple individuals in full public view.

The attackers reportedly continued the assault without hesitation even as a young woman stood nearby during the incident.

The disturbing visuals have since been widely circulated online, with several social media users expressing concern over increasing incidents of violent road rage and lawlessness in the city.

Police officials from Wilson Garden Police Station reached the spot after learning about the incident and conducted a preliminary inspection. Although no formal complaint had been filed at the time of reporting, authorities have reportedly taken suo motu cognisance of the matter.

Investigators are currently examining CCTV footage from cameras installed around K.H. Road to identify the registration numbers of the vehicles involved and trace the accused persons.

Police said efforts are underway to locate those responsible, and further investigation is in progress.

Panic gripped city this morning, after a captive , turned violent and ran amok through several busy and residential areas, causing widespread damage.

According to eyewitnesses, the agitated elephant broke control, sending pedestrians and motorists fleeing.

During the rampage, several two-wheelers and cars were damaged.

Reportedly a woman who was trapped inside one of the cars that was attacked by the elephant had a miraculous escape. The car was overturned by the elephant. However, She was later taken out unhurt by the local people after the elephant left the scene.

The elephant squad reached the spot and initiated efforts to bring the situation under control.

No casualties have been reported so far, but the incident has left significant property damage and raised concerns over the safety measures in handling captive elephants in urban areas.

A minor bike accident allegedly escalated into a violent clash between two groups in Sirsi town of Uttara Kannada district, resulting in chaos on a public road and the arrest of six youths by the Sirsi Town Police.

According to police sources, the incident began with a minor collision between two two-wheelers near Devikere in Sirsi on the night of May 21. The accident reportedly led to a heated verbal altercation between youths belonging to two different groups, creating tension between them.

Police said the rivalry intensified later when both groups confronted each other at Simpigalli. The situation soon turned violent, with members of both sides allegedly chasing and attacking each other in the middle of the road, creating panic in the area.

Shocking visuals of the clash were reportedly captured on nearby CCTV cameras. Based on the footage and subsequent investigation, Sirsi Town Police registered a case against six youths involved in the incident.

The accused have been identified as Ayan Tinamaker, Sarfaraz Tinamaker, Adil Sakkarkhan, Abhay Hudar, Sarvesh Hiremath, and Akash Kundanagar.

Police stated that the situation is currently under control and additional vigilance has been deployed across the town to prevent any further untoward incidents.

A woman sustained serious injuries after a BMTC bus allegedly rammed into her two-wheeler from behind near Yeshwanthpur Circle in Bengaluru on Friday, raising fresh concerns over road safety and reckless driving involving public transport vehicles in the city.

According to preliminary information, the woman was riding her bike when the BMTC bus approaching from behind collided with her vehicle. Due to the impact, she was thrown off the bike and suffered severe injuries.

Local residents and passersby immediately rushed to help the injured woman before shifting her to a nearby private hospital for treatment.

Traffic police from the Yeshwanthpur Traffic Police Station reached the accident spot shortly after receiving information and conducted a preliminary inspection.

Police have launched an investigation to ascertain the exact cause of the accident and determine whether negligence on the part of the bus driver led to the collision.

In a disturbing incident, a customer attacked the staff of a tiffin center over allegedly being denied chutney in Hyderabad's Kompally on Saturday, May 23.

According to reports, the incident occurred at the Bhavani Tiffin Center, Suchitra, Medchal. When the customer asked for additional chutney, an argument ensued between him and the staff.

The situation turned grave when the customer took an onion cutting knife from the counter and attacked the staff and other customers indiscriminately.

A Closed Circuit Television Camera (CCTV) footage shared on social media showed the customer attacking the staff with the knife before being overpowered by other customers.

The Customs Officers at IGI Airport, New Delhi, intercepted two Thailand national passengers arriving from Bangkok by flight no. AI-2356 dated 22.05.2026 after they crossed the Customs Green Channel.

Acting on specific profiling inputs and suspicious travel indicators, Customs officers subjected the baggage of both passengers to detailed examination.

Subsequently, a thorough physical examination of the baggage was conducted, which resulted in the recovery of six (06) vacuum-sealed packets suspected to contain Hydroponic W**d (G***a). Out of the total recovery, four packets weighing approximately 29 kilograms were recovered from the baggage of one passenger, while two packets weighing approximately 19 kilograms were recovered from the baggage of the second passenger. The total quantity of the suspected narcotic substance recovered in the case was approximately 47.805 kilograms(Net weight). The market value of the recoverd NDPS substance is approx 48 Cr.

This is one of the highest seizures in recent times at IGI airport, Delhi.

Further investigation in the matter is under progress.
