What a morning at Elmhurst University! 💙🎙️

I’m still buzzing from the “Meet the Pros” marketing panel. There is nothing quite like the energy of a room full of students ready to take on the world. 🌎⚡️

We talked shop, answered the tough questions, and did some serious networking. 🤝

💌To every student I chatted with: your passion is contagious! If the conversations we had are any indication, the marketing world is about to get a major upgrade. 🙌

✨ Elmhurst Heroes Take D.C.! ✨

We are incredibly proud to celebrate two of our very own who were recently honored on the national stage! 🇺🇸

At the American Ambulance Association’s 2025 Stars of Life celebration in Washington, D.C., two Elmhurst-based professionals from were recognized for their exceptional service and life-saving impact:

🌟 Dustin Williams (EMT & Assistant Manager): Superior’s youngest manager, Dustin oversees 120+ critical care professionals and manages the Ground Organ Transport program. He was honored for his positive leadership and dedication to supporting his colleagues.

🌟 Matthew Matouk (Paramedic): Honored for his swift, life-saving actions during a roadside overdose emergency. Matthew also helps shape the next generation of responders by supporting new-hire training.

These “Stars” even met with members of Congress to advocate for the vital work first responders do every single day! 🏛️🚑

Before the turkey and the football, Thanksgiving in Elmhurst starts with a powerful movement: The Dan Gibbons Turkey Trot. ❤️

The race began as an “accidental” 5K in 1984, but its continuation was secured by key support. When founder Dan Gibbons almost ended the event after the first year, Bob Jones and local business leaders Bob Schiller and Dave Plummer stepped up with crucial seed money. Their belief in the race and Dan Gibbons is why this tradition has raised nearly $5 MILLION for local hunger-fighting organizations.🙏

This year, is honoring the families of these original supporters as the Honorary Starters for the 42nd Annual race!

🎉🏈 HISTORY MADE! York Girls Flag Football! 💚

Elmhurst, get ready to cheer! 📣 Girls across Illinois—including right here at York High School—kicked off an official IHSA-sanctioned flag football season! This is monumental! 🤩

The sport is exploding nationally and was just announced as an official event for the 2028 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles! Our York Dukes are officially trailblazers. 💪
