Labor Leaders and the faith community rallied around Teamsters Local 705 in a fight for dignity and fairness. Supporters came to Ma**er Headquarters July 16 to show unity and determination with a huge rally that ended with a march to Headquarter doors to deliver a letter. Ma**er refused to let them in.

At a recent Crime Safety Panel, organized by the Plumbing Contractors Association of Greater Chicago, plumbing signatory contractors discussed work truck break-ins, robberies and how the police and court system is handling these crimes.

Laborers Local One welcomes its newest edition to its Union with Andrew Corrigan, who is working with the Barrington-based Pepper Construction Group, who is excited to have him on board!

Chicago Painters District Council 14's Helen Chung received the Chicago Federation of Labor's prestigious 2025 Rosetta Daylie Woman of the Year award for her contributions to the Chicago Labor movement!

United Union of Roofers, Waterproofers, and Allied Workers Local 11's Apprentice Francisco Orozco is celebrated after winning the National Apprenticeship Competition - 2nd Year Division. Orozco also was the 2024 winner!

15-year LIUNA Local 225 member Miguel Villarreal won a Chevy Colorado truck at the recent Chicago Area Lecet’s Safety Incentive Program event!

Congrats to Pipefitters Local 597 for AGAIN taking 1st in the A Division and earning back-to-back wins in the 46th Annual United Association's International Softball Tournament hosted by Local 392 Cincinnati. In the B Division, Sprinkler Fitters Local Union 281, U.A. placed 3rd.

Victory at Arrow Gear! 💪
After 9 weeks on strike, members ratified a 3-year agreement, which delivers strong economic gains and key improvements to working conditions — including major increases to sick leave, job protections, and respectful terms on the shop floor.

Their strength and solidarity never wavered. They stood tall, stood together, and refused to settle for less than they’re worth. We appreciate all the support from the membership and the community in their fight for a fair contract.

About 118 IAM Union Local 701 members at the Downers Grove-based Arrow Gear have overwhelmingly voted to continue their strike, which began May 5, as they remain united in the fight for a fair and just contract.
