Because you’re a creative, you’re going to always have ideas, you’re going to always struggle with perfectionism, you’re going to always want to do it BIG and because of it you’re going to always deal with disappointment which results in procrastination! Or maybe that’s me! haha. But sometimes those goals and plans will hinder you from getting started!

Academy Award-winning actress, Viola Davis, made a statement today in response to the harsh social media criticisms about her exaggerated Michelle Obama facial expressions.

She told BBC News that “It is incredibly hurtful when people say negative things about your work
but it comes with the territory”

I think every creative needed to hear that quote. Not everyone is going to like your work
but you take the blow and keep pushing.

I hope this helps someone 💛

To be honest, I’ve been in a “creative funk” when I’ve just been stuck creatively. I haven’t been inspired by anything so my production has been
blah! And because of the pressure to always produce to keep up, I’ve been OVERWHELMED!

And on top of that, there isn’t a support group for this kind of stuff


But I heard this phrase today
”push through”

And it inspired me. It helped me to do the opposite of what I feel and think the opposite of what I thought. It gave me confidence.

So here I am
pushing through!
