When it comes to getting a little extra money for your honeymoon fund, the dollar dance is hard to beat. Yes, you may dance with people that you barely know or have little to no desire to dance with, but hey, you're getting extra money, right?!?!?!

While the dollar dance works, there are several alternatives to help avoid those possibly awkward encounters. The most popular alternatives are doing a 50/50 half pot, bingo, and my personal favorite - the Cake Smash Competition.

The Cake Smash Competition is simply that. A competition to see who gets to smash cake in the other persons face. Just acquire two containers that say your names on them, and place them on the cake table. Throughout the cocktail hour and dinner portion of the evening, your guests will place money in the jar of the corresponding person that they want to win. By the time the cutting of the cake comes around, the person with the most money in their jar, gets to smash cake in the other persons face.

I know, I know, some of you are out there thinking "but I don't want to lose and have cake smashed in my face!" - I can tell you that I have not once seen those individuals loose this competition 😉😉.

While this may not be for everybody, this is just one of the many ways that I can help make your special day perfectly suited for you!

Let's talk first dances!

Traditionally, the first dance comes after dinner right around the time of the cutting of the cake and toasts. This works out great because it allows you to come right in, sit down, and relax while enjoying some much needed food. While this traditionally works, there is another way to go about it.
Dancing directly after introductions.

Doing your formal dances as soon as you walk in allows:

~ you to not worry about getting food on your clothes during dinner or even during the cutting of the cake

~ the chance to fully relax sooner and change clothes if needed

~ family members and friends that may need to leave early get to see you dancing in all your glory

While this may not be for everybody, this is just one of the many ways that I can make your day exactly how you imagined it!
