This fight is not just for the people of Fort Edward. It’s for all of us in every surrounding community who are affected by pollution in our area.

People in the communities around us stepped into our fight against Saratoga Biochar because they understood it would affect all of our communities along the Hudson River. Please read this post and stand up with all of us again.

I was told by the DEC that more than Moreau residents need to comment at the DEC public hearing if we hoped to stop Saratoga Biochar. Let’s all stand together again.

Good morning Gina, hope you are well! Not sure if you saw my breathe free update email regarding tonight's very important public hearing meeting at 6:00 p.m. at the village board in Hudson Falls regarding the drafted Hudson Falls Clean Air Law. Mike Ewall , attorney working with the us and the village is coming up! We hope for a big crowd of supporters of this very important mission we have been on! Tracy Frisch of the Clean Air Action Network, who was a HUGE part of our win against Saratoga Biochar asked me to please give you the email to send your comments to the DEC. Tomorrow is the last day for your voice to matter.

Tracy asked me,

If you are able to make a final social media post encouraging people to email comments opposing the RD&D (research) permit for Clean Earth to truck in 5,000 tons of PFAS contaminated soil and attempt to remediate it in its pole barn facility in the village of Fort Edward, that would be awesome. You can use a screenshot or video of the plant below.

Please email your comment to DEC at [email protected] opposing ESMI/Clean Earth's RD&D permit to experiment with remediating PFAS "forever chemical" contaminated soil in the village of Fort Edward.

The comment period ends on Tues., Feb. 17.

Comments can be very short, like a couple sentences. You can tell DEC about the existing pollution burden in your community. (That is relevant because of several state laws, including the Cumulative Impacts Law.)

Tell DEC you are worried about new PFAS pollution from this project and that you are concerned about the impacts on your family's health.

The photo shows what is being released currently. I am not sure what is in it. We do not want more.
