We fought against the Biochar facility being built in the Town of Moreau Industrial Park and the company choose to stop their plans to build there.

We will fight to protect Moreau, South Glens Falls and our neighboring communities from more pollution.

Bob recently went to the Moreau Town Clerks office to purchase his annual NYS Fishing license. He was happily surprised to find that if you 70 or older, a NYS annual fishing license is now only $5 a year.

Please share. A lot of senior people dont always get a license because they don't fish much any more but at this price they can still throw out a line now and then.

I just finished reading a set of our very complete Town Board meeting minutes. I wonder how many people do not realize the wealth of information available on the Town of Moreau website.

Please SHARE this so others can learn where they can read what our Town Board, Planning Board, Zoning Board and departments such as Rec and Transfer Station are actively working and making decisions on.

Ive included a few screen shots for reference.

Almost all decisions that are made by the Town, Planning and Zoning Boards are voted on, and the minutes show how each Board member voted about the decisions that affect us all. You will not find this complete coverage in a local paper.

Go to the Town of Moreau website to read the minutes of the Town Board, the Planning Board and the Zoning Board. There are also audio recordings of all meetings. If you are only interested in a portion of the audio meeting there is a slider bar to locate what you are looking to listen to.

If you want to see what is happening at an upcoming meeting of any of the Boards, the meeting agendas are also available. The agenda also includes all support documents for the topics under discussion.

Erin Trombley, Moreau Town Clerk, is responsible for recording all this information and providing it to the public. The information is accurate, interesting and complete. She also includes reports from department heads in the minutes. The easily read minutes have more details than I have ever seen!

The Zoning update papers are attached to the agenda that Laura shared.

Thank you to Supervisor Jessie Fish, the Moreau Town Board and everyone who worked on this review and update of our town zoning. I apologize for missing this meeting. This update of our zoning protects and enhances the quality of life for all of us. THANK You!

The people from Clean Earth spoke at the beginning of the meeting.

Local people then each had 3 minutes to comment and ask questions. It became more and more worrisome as residents comments to the company’s “data provided” were in disagreement with the facts provided earlier in the meeting.

We had been told by the company that they were not aware where the soil that they would be burning would come from. When Tracy Frisch of CAAN spoke she said that based on her information that the soil would be coming from two military sites with dangerous chemical pollutants. She gave information on the source of her information. When she asked the men who had earlier said they did not know the soil source they looked shocked and seemed to mumble in agreement to her statement.

Hello. Just sharing an update.

The Clean Air Action Network (CAAN) annual meeting that was going to be held today at The Moreau Community Center is postponed.

There will not be a meeting there today. Once a new date is selected, Clean Air Action Network (CAAN) will send an updated email.

We are thankful that CAAN helped our community successfully fight against the biochar project.
