Walking in the woods near a pasture in early spring, the beauty of the pear tree is one of the first to show off all its glory. Soon the blooms will be gone and all that's left till next year will be the memories of how beautiful it all was....

The sun was creating a lot of contrast on the old house as I was searching for a few pics to take...These are what I came up with.. Same pic different views..I don't normally apply any type of effect, but this time I couldn't help it. The texture really stood out and the sun and shadows helped to bring it together. What do ya think? More on this sort of thing later...Have a great day!

This beautiful mushroom can be quite deadly if eaten. Some use varieties of this for recreation, but its best to leave alone and admire....This was found as a sole occupant one day strolling along a path in the woods.

Been playing with a new pic to turn into something. I took this pic of a Yin-Yang pattern that appeared on my compost bin's wooden structure. I was thinking that the compost was telling me that the world has balance, even in this most unusual way!

Hello to all my friends...Here is my take on using a picture to put a positive spin on the Covid mess we are all dealing with. I took this Morning Glory picture in the fall after sunrise. It seems nature has a way to make the light shine on all no matter what the situation. I hope all is well with you and yours.🌻🙂🌻

Introducing to all, my page, Highland Photographics.

Its been a long time since I had my brick and mortar store Highland Photo in the late 90's. Highland Photo specialized in one hour photo and was at the fore front of the digital imaging revolution.
Fast Forward to today and oh how much has changed and hasn't in the photo world.

Highland Photographics has been born out of the past here as a new beginning. The digital world has given me the opportunity to open Highland Photographics as an online presence without all the brick and mortar complications.

So what will I do? Well, first and foremost I want to emphasize the best photography possible. To this end I hope to have informal photo contests as well as a photo essay aspect to the site. Photos, essays and videos will be posted and some sort of contest will be tied around these. Or not... We shall see.

Additionally, I will be offering digital photo products, photography and videography and what ever else I can think of in this realm. I want to explore rural land and real estate photography and videography both land based and aerial. Flying a drone has opened up a whole new dimension to it all! Plus its fun...

So wish me luck, retirement looms and I have to do something :)
