FEBRUARY 13, 2020 IS WORLD RADIO DAY – PRAISE GOD FOR RADIO MINISTRY

On February 13, 2012, the world celebrated its first World Radio Day of Honor, inspiring education and recognition to the powerful nature of broadcast Radio. Radio is now over a century old and remains the most popular platform globally to exchange and share information. Radio remains a lifeline to many people who live in separated and controlled areas of the world by extreme governments. Praise God for the technology of Radio as it remains a missionary instrument for Christians in receiving the gospel or those called to broadcast the gospel all around the world.

Pan American Broadcasting gives God the glory for the blessing of Radio ministry and we salute the many dedicated radio ministries working in the field, witnessing the gospel, saving souls for Jesus Christ! Amen.

The world lost a legendary soldier of God on January 18th, Dr. Jack Van Impe. He passed at the age of 89, celebrating 70 years in ministry work for the Lord! Pan American Broadcasting was blessed to work in radio outreach with Dr. Van Impe and his ministry for 28 years. Today we reflect on those years of partnership, mourning Dr. Van Impe and praying for Mrs. Van Impe, their family and ministry members. Losing this great man of God leaves a huge void in our lives…one that time can only heal and faith can only comfort. God bless Mrs. Van Impe, the family and ministry members!

Well done, good and faithful servant…

With tears of joy and sorrow, Pan American Broadcasting is mourning the loss of a dear man of God, a pioneer for the gospel, Bro. Billy Graham. We had the privilege of working with him in radio ministry, it all began in 1983, when he had the passion to reach souls in China, his radio program broadcasting on the Voice for China. We are humbled to have been a part of his outreach work in radio ministry for many years. Many have said “Billy Graham must be an angel from God walking on this earth”.

Born in 1918 in Charlotte, North Carolina...a simple country boy, born during the depression, he grew up on a farm with parents that instilled a strong work ethic combined with the love and faith of God.

God had plans for this humble soul; God would bless Billy Graham with a wonderful wife and family that stood by him as he became internationally recognized after preaching at a Los Angeles revival in 1949. That engagement led him to being a guest on the Stuart Hamblen radio show. The rest is history, he would start preaching globally, holding revivals in some of the largest arenas known to man around the world!

Bro. Graham is quoted, “Whatever strength I have, whatever time God lets me have is going to be dedicated to doing the work of an evangelist as long as I live!”

And he did just that, until his passing today at the age of 99. Bro. Billy Graham transformed not only American religious life but also internationally as he preached to millions about the hope and salvation and glory of our Lord. He leaves a humble, heart touching legacy as a simple man of God, who loved our Lord with all his heart, and he strived to teach the gospel to and share the gospel with as many souls possible while on this earth! As we look back and span his life and ministry legacy, with tears and joy we thank God that we were a small part of his ministry outreach, broadcasting his radio ministry into different regions of the world, witnessing Bro. Billy Graham doing what he loved…preaching and witnessing God’s love and saving grace...Amen!

Another quote from Bro. Graham, “When God gets ready to shake America, he may not take the Ph.D. and the D.D….God may choose a country boy…and I pray that He would.”

Bro. Graham, you did just that...you shook up the world with God, it was your calling from our Lord…America and the world will never forget you and the spirit of God you planted in many hearts! Thank you Lord for blessing this earth with such a kind and brave teacher and warrior for your Word.
