Huge win for Montana film! 👏👏👏 way to go team!!!

Montana filmmakers, if you can make it tomorrow to the capital tomorrow please do! We need all the support we can get on this one.

Hi MMC members & supporters. As you know, we lost the House vote on Friday morning but we were granted a revote which takes place tomorrow. We are calling all filmmakers and MMC supporters to show up in person if you are able to.

Date: Tuesday April 22nd at The State Capital. Rotunda on second floor from 8:45am. Allow time for parking.

If you have any questions about logitsics for tomorrow feel free to message Lynn-Wood Fields, Jeri Rafter, or myself (Michele Gray).

It has been a difficult and disappointing few days, but just a friendly reminder that if we do not win the vote tomorrow, please be respectful and cordial.

We have been busy contacting legislators today. As of right now, we are still in the race.

Who’s coming to Butte with us?!

Excited to screen at the this Saturday(4/12) in Butte! The screening will start at 7:30p followed by a Q&A. Then stick around for the afterparty with live music! It’ll be a good time, we can’t wait to see you there!

February 7th-9th and February 14th-16th

So excited to announce that Pharaohplex Studios will be opening the doors to the public to screen our film Cuisine de la 'Pocalypse. We're calling this a Homecoming screening because the film was shot almost entirely in the Pharaohplex Production Facility. For those of you who don't know, the Pharaohplex was once a full 6-screen movie theater which has since been converted in to a production studio! For our film, we utilized their sound stages, back lot, c*c wall, hallways, exterior... really every inch of that place made it into the film! The Pharaohplex still has a functioning screen for special events such as this, so come celebrate the release of our film in the very place we filmed it.

Here's a bit more info on our film:

Cuisine de la ‘Pocalypse is a film about one chef's refusal to give up on his culinary dreams, even in the apocalypse. It’s a wacky take on the hero's journey that will make you feel like you've just rented a VHS from Blockbuster, cracked open a pop, and are about to kick back with your old gang.

It was produced in the beautiful Bitterroot Valley by Local Montana filmmakers. From executive producers Michael and Kiomi Burks, Cuisine de la ‘Pocalypse stars Kevin Sorbo, Natasha Leggero, Emilio Rivera, Kevin Jack, Nelo Butler, Zuzu Weingart, Douglas “Hurricane” Hall, Mighet Matanane, Braeden Sorbo, and Darryl Chan. Written and Directed by Kyle Weingart. Produced by Eden Bryant and Joe Borden. Cuisiune de la 'Pocalypse is a recipient of the Big Sky Film Grant

HAMILTON PHARAOHPLEX OPENING ITS DOORS!

We're excited to announce that we will be doing a DOUBLE FEATURE screening at Pharaohplex Studios on Feb 7th! We'll kick the night off with a screening of the beautiful 12 minute film Angel's Do Fly West, a short documentary that has received over 24 national and international awards, followed by a screening of feature film Cuisine de la 'Pocalypse and a Q&A with cast and crew of both projects!

A bit more about each project:
ANGELS DO FLY WEST is a documentary that follows Mya Toone and her mom Carly Brown, as they meet "Angel" Pilot Michael Burks's story of true compassion, love and true unsung heroism. This is more than an emotional story of the beginning of a long friendship. Follow along with Michael, Mya and Carly as you learn about Angel Flight West. A non-profit company that brings together the true "Angels", helping families during the tragedies that consume so many lives.

Hey, y'all! Looking for a spooky movie to watch this Halloween? Check out The Waiting Game for FREE on Tubi! This low budget psychological thriller was how we started out our 99 Productions journey! We filmed the entire thing in 10 days, with a skeleton crew, and a shoestring budget in 2019. We just wanted to create something and complete it and it really opened up our eyes to the possibilities of the filmmaking world for us!
