PS: this will probably get me some hate but I’m not actually a TS fan! I think she’s overhyped and often takes advantage of others.

BUT there is no denying she is a marketing genius and has major sway over the content others post! I mean did you see all the orange-toned posts that went out after her album was announced?

It’s national dog day so I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to share our team mascot: Brisket!

He’s in the background of most zoom calls.

He’s attended 2 team retreats, acting as guard dog and corralling us together when we get separated.

He travels with me to most of our out-of-town clients and is a pro at stayibg in Airbnbs!

He’s obsessed with tennis balls and could play fetch for hours inside or outside the house!

You’re content isn’t working, and it’s not because of the algorithm!

There’s a difference between being nice and being honest — and I care too much about your mission to stay silent.

This carousel is filled with the tough-love advice I’d give you if I was afraid of hurting your feelings…

But here’s the truth: I’m not afraid to say these things to our clients.

Because I believe in what you’re doing.

Because your mission matters.

Because half-hearted content isn’t going to cut it in a noisy world.

If you’re a Catholic or mission-minded brand that wants to actually reach the people God’s put on your heart — then it’s time to stop sugarcoating it.

Put on that comfy sweatshirt and get to work!

Listen, all the hacks, tips, tricks, and trending audios in the world is not going to bring those right-fit-clients IF you’re not using them to talk directly to your people!

Here’s the truth you have to know your people well!

What audios will they relate to? And which ones won’t they understand?

What cultural reference will make them laugh and which will make them scratch their head in confusion?

What feels authentically you and what feels like you’re just performing?

Time and time again when we work with clients we encourage them to lean into their clients needs, desires, fears, and dreams!

When they do that by creating content that speaks to those ideas, their account takes off!

So, go ahead, wear your sweatshirt to a fancy award show if that’s your jam and what your people want to see!

PS personally, I’ll be dressed to the nines!

Bad news - things are ever evolving which means you’ve got to evolve your content plan with it!

Good news - content is getting easier to create as we move away from highly edited/stylized posts and move more toward the realness of life!
