The world knows the sign of the crucifix and today we look to it with sorrowful hearts. The reality of the suffering Jesus went through is almost impossible to fathom, especially for a blameless man, for God. But God knew what he was doing, after thousands of years of His people making sacrifices to atone for their sins, God knew that He needed to make the ultimate sacrifice for all sin. The death on the cross needed to happen, as painful as it was. It made way for a NEW CREATION available to us all through resurrection, redemption, and a new eternal life. When the temple veil broke and Jesus breathed his last, a new way was made for man to find fellowship with God and freedom from sin. So thank you Jesus, for by your suffering and your death, we too can have new life in eternity with the Father 🙏🏼✝️

What a beautiful and dramatic church in the northernmost capital of the world. 🇮🇸 It’s a good example of how the temple that we worship in can be built stylistically to reflect the place and the people who come to worship there.

Constructed to resemble the basalt columns and volcanic geography of Iceland, the steeple flows skyward. This church is also built on the tallest hill in the center of the city, making it a constant focal point and navigation tool for grounding yourself as you explore.

I can confidently say that i’ve never seen a city constructed this way and i wouldn’t have it any other way! It’s a constant [physical] reminder of God’s guidance and presence with us 🙏🏼😌

This is what 9:30am looks like in Keflavík, Iceland. A surreal experience to have the sunrise this late in the morning. The Nordic North is a strange and beautiful place.

I was reminded yesterday to keep making room for Jesus. We don’t need to be in a church to find Him, He wants to be with us from sun up to sun up. We were created to receive His grace and His kingdom 🙏🏼🫶🏼☀️

Perseverance through our struggles leads to greater faith and greater calling! 🙏🏼 I’m believing for more of you this year!
