My pal Stefan Avalos won the Grand Jury and Audience Awards at Slamdance in 2017 for his thoroughly entertaining feature documentary, Strad Style. The following year, my feature documentary, Mr. Fish: Cartooning From The Deep End, directed by Pablo Bryant, also won the Grand Jury Award at Slamdance. I tracked down Stefan and teamed up with him to assist in bringing this outlandish true story to life. Call me funny, but I like to work with talented filmmakers. The pandemic and the writer and actor strikes killed our momentum. In fact, this happened to several of my projects. Well, we are back, baby! Full momentum is in effect.
