Attrition (noun): every event planner's worst nightmare.

We're only sort of kidding. Attrition, the unfortunately trending phenomenon of not showing up to an event once you're registered, is becoming all too common. From tightened budgets to jam-packed schedules, attendees have all sorts of reasons for not coming to events even though they RSVP'd, but it can spell disaster for planners.

Entering into the workforce can be intimidating, especially in a demanding field like event planning. That’s where the guidance of a mentor can come in handy. It may seem like mentors are meant to be much older and wiser, but even the newest generation of planners has plenty to offer mentees.
