It’s always a win win when you can randomly go to two breweries and encounter beer genius !! It was so wonderful to talk beer and breweries to check out!! Stay tuned for a collab video this summer! 🌞

Our first time blew us away. We enjoyed both the Dubbel Damage and the Yaulp, and of course a couple tasters because you got to. Oh yes, we will be back and will try their food menu as well!

Our second stop was at our longtime fav to honor Scarlet Fire 🔥 in person. Let’s just say we knew this was going to be awesome and they did not disappoint. We can’t wait to get back there for patio season!

It was fun being beer patrons this weekend, where should we try next?!

Crooked Arm Vinyl & Tap, a record store, craft beer tap room and bottle shop, is now open at 6450 College Road, in Lisle’s College Square Shopping Center. A grand opening celebration is scheduled for Friday, Jan. 5 and Saturday, Jan. 6.

With a collection of 13,000 vinyl records and eight taphandles featuring a rotating selection of fresh local beer, Crooked Arm brings together two beloved leisurely pursuits.

Back in 2017, we introduced something new to Chicago-area barrel-aged stout enthusiasts: a four-pack of 12 oz cans that included one of each variant.

Now in our seventh release of Might Meets Right variants (and our tenth barrel-aged Might Meets Right release of all time), we're going back to the basics, focusing on the incredible barrels we used. We are proud and excited to offer you the first taste of the 2023 vintage:

Basil Hayden Toast®

(Aged in Basil Hayden Toast® Bourbon Barrels) — the rich dark malts mellow and take on notes of dried fruit, caramelized sugar, and toasted oak. (13.7% alc/vol)

Russell’s Reserve 6 Year Old Rye®

(Aged in Russell’s Reserve® 6 Year Old Rye Barrels) — the rich dark malts mellow and take on notes of allspice, pepper, and almond.

Chocolate
(Aged in Basil Hayden Toast® Bourbon & Russell’s Reserve® 6 Year Old Rye Barrels) — We blend both the bourbon and rye barrels and then let it sit on cacao nibs to bring out the chocolate malt notes.

Vanilla
(Aged in Basil Hayden Toast® Bourbon & Russell’s Reserve® 6 Year Old Rye Barrels)
We blend both the bourbon and rye barrels and then let it sit on vanilla beans to bring out vanillin notes from aging in oak whiskey barrels.
