So…I haven’t updated my blog this week, mainly because I’ve been living life and God has been speaking to me on very specific and personal areas of my life. I can feel a shift coming and it’s important to me that I really lean into it and hear what God has to say.

Mission Mondays will be back soon; maybe not tomorrow, but soon. I promise.

I’m the meantime, here’s some encouragement:

I was listening to worship on my way to church this morning and the chorus of Good Good Father was sung:

“You’re a good good Father,
It’s who you are, it’s who you are.
And I’m loved by you, it’s who I am, it’s who I am.”

I’ve heard this Chris Tonkin song probably countless times throughout my life, but I never HEARD it.

Who is God?
A good father.

Who am I?
Loved by God.

Woah.

If you’re ever struggling with your identity, your worth, value or struggles in life, here’s the answer; YOU ARE….loved. by. God.
That is who you are.

What does that mean?
Well, what does it mean when a good earthly father or mother loves you?

They take care of you.
They bless you, they give you GOOD things, they support you financially, they feed you, clothe you and are your safety net.
You are loved by them!

This is what it means to be loved by God and so much more than we could ever ask or imagine.

“I am the door. If anyone enters by Me, he will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture. The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.”

This past week, I’ve been thinking about modesty. I’ve never been the type to feel comfortable wearing anything less than fairly conservative clothing. There have been times that I regret certain clothing choices, but who hasn’t? Being comfortable and confident in my wardrobe choices, I’ve found that when people make comments about my clothing and the propriety of them, it usually says more about them and where their heart/mind is than about me....

Happy Senior Year, class of 2024!

My sister has always been cooler than me and even though she’s not graduating this year anymore (her choice, ), she’s still my favorite HS senior and will always be the subject of my favorite portrait session. I tried a new editing style because ms. Hayley is a lot edgier than me and wanted something with a little more drama; not to toot my own horn, but I think I nailed it. 😎
Like one of my teachers has said; He who tooteth not his own horn, might not get his horn tooteth, so there.
