I had a wonderful time reading two of my books – “Bump Under the Rug” and “Hugo the Hermit Crab’s Journey Back to Sea” – to children at Bradford Heights Elementary School's BRIDGE summer program! The children asked fantastic questions and had great imaginations. Many thanks to Teacher Ashley Martin for inviting me to be a guest speaker at the summer camp.

Daniel Tyler reunites with Max and Molly, the siblings who inspired two main characters in his new middle-grade series Dash the Husky.

"During my 15-year residence in Steamboat, there was a family living nearby with two children, Max and Molly, with whom we hiked, fished, had water balloon fights, and did a variety of winter sports. They viewed me as a pseudo grampa, because they had lost both of their real sets of grandparents. They matured, went off the school and now have careers [...] It is wonderful to see that as adults, they are still the same wonderful people I knew when we all lived in Steamboat."
