📣 Pool pros: Here’s an opportunity worth knowing about.

The Southwest Pool and Spa Show is honoring the legacy of longtime industry advocate Thom Blumenkamp through the Thom Blumenkamp Memorial Scholarship — helping pool builders and service professionals access valuable industry education.

The scholarship offers a minimum $1,000 in funding and may help cover certification courses, hotel accommodations and, on a case-by-case basis, some travel reimbursement for professionals attending the January 2027 show in San Antonio.

BREAKING: Leslie’s is reportedly preparing to file for Chapter 11 bankruptcy as soon as next week, potentially handing control of the nation’s largest specialty pool retailer to its lenders.

With mounting debt, declining sales and a stock price that has collapsed despite a 1-for-20 reverse split, the company also faces the prospect of accelerated Nasdaq delisting. Lenders are reportedly preparing to provide $100 million to keep the business operating through bankruptcy.

More technical support is coming to the North American commercial pool market.

RENOLIT has established a dedicated U.S. engineering department for its North American Pool business, expanding support for architects, aquatic consultants, builders and installers working with reinforced PVC membrane systems.

BIG NEWS for the pool & spa industry 🌊

The Florida Swimming Pool Association (FSPA) and the Pool & Hot Tub Alliance (PHTA) are officially reuniting through a new affiliation agreement beginning January 1, 2027.

The move brings FSPA back together with the national organization nearly two decades after becoming fully independent, while allowing FSPA to maintain its own leadership, identity and operations.
