After 19 years trapped in m**h addiction, Cara hit rock bottom inside a Jay County Jail cell. But that’s exactly where God met her—and began to rewrite her story. From brokenness to freedom, from addiction to purpose, Cara’s testimony proves that no one is too far gone for God’s grace.

From age 12 to 35, Brandon Chism was lost in addiction—w**d, co***ne, acid, heroin—if it existed, he used it. His life was a cycle of jail time, second chances, and near-death moments. But God stepped in. Time after time, He “set Brandon down” long enough to sober up and remind him that there was purpose beyond the chaos.

Today, Brandon is a husband, father of three, proud grandpa, and owner of Chism Construction, where his work doubles as ministry—helping people and sharing God’s love through action.

He’s also the heart behind the God’s Goon Podcast, a raw and faith-driven platform that strips away the masks and dives into real stories of transformation, hope, and the power of Jesus Christ.

Brandon’s passion is outreach, his mission is the Gospel, and his greatest title isn’t entrepreneur or podcast host—
it’s being called a son of the Living God.

My name is Steven Cobb. Growing up, there was only one crowd I fit in with—the stoners. I started smoking w**d when I was 9 years old, and by the time I hit high school, I was a full-blown tweaker who had tried almost every drug out there. At 13, I caught my first case and spent a year and a half locked up in juvenile hall. By 16, I was back inside for another stretch. My life became a cycle of drugs, jail, prison, and homelessness. I was lost, angry, and empty—until I met Jesus. He pulled me out of the darkness and gave me a purpose I never thought I’d have. Today, I’m living proof that God can redeem anyone, no matter how far gone they think they are.
