30 years ago today I was shooting a movie in the Communist Cemetery in Moscow when tanks rolled down the street on the other side of the 8’ wall. We heard something break thru on the radio and the locals on our crew began crying. We were evacuated to our hotel and watched as tanks rolled into the streets blocking the Kremlin. We escaped to Helsinki and then to USA. I will never forget being there to witness the fall of the Soviet Union. 🎥 🎬 🎥🎬

This project was unique in that, while I wrote, directed, and edited it, the students from the Video Prouduction class were the camera & boom operators, as well as the actors in the video. The music was the school's drumline. It was a great way for the students to learn production and get involved in a project that will be used on the site long after they graduated. It was fun to make and even more fun mentoring the students.
