When I first began this portrait campaign, I had the honor of connecting with . She had just survived one of the most brutal betrayals I’ve ever heard of—an attack by her fiancé that nearly took her life. By the grace of God and her own incredible strength, she survived a situation that many might not have.

What happened that night was the peak of months of emotional abuse—pain inflicted by someone who claimed to love her. So when we talked about doing portraits, she told me she wanted something that would remind her of her strength and beauty.

This photo was taken just after she had her hair and makeup done by , and just before our shoot. When I look at it, I feel deeply humbled. Capturing this moment was more than taking a picture—it was witnessing a powerful part of her healing.

Your story, Eliza, reminded me that this journey is about far more than portraits. You are a cornerstone of what this campaign stands for, and I can’t wait to see how far it goes.
