Lissette and I have known each other for almost twenty years. In that time, I have watched her build one of the most respected women-founded development platforms in South Florida. Her team has delivered more than 3,000 residential units across Miami’s urban core, with a portfolio spanning nearly 5 million square feet and valued at more than $2 billion. Neology also has more than 2,000 additional units in pre-construction and permitting across South Florida.We are featuring Lissette not only because of what she has built but because of how she is using her Coconut Grove-based firm to IMPACT the next generation of women leaders. Through Neology Group’s Women in Real Estate Internship, known as WiRE, she brings young women from across Miami-Dade County to Coconut Grove to explore careers in commercial real estate and advance their professional paths.WiRE is an annual competitive internship program designed for driven female high school and college students from diverse backgrounds. A limited group of select participants explore careers in development, construction, finance, investments, law, public policy, marketing, and property management. Through hands-on workshops, team projects, site visits, and mentorship, they gain firsthand insight into the many career paths inside commercial real estate.

Club Studio officially opened its doors at Grove Central today, and the celebration was a whole vibe! From the DJ keeping the energy high and live music filling the space to vitamin shots, organic snacks, freebies and a fun photo booth, there was plenty happening beyond the workout floor. ✨

Guests explored the new 38,400-square-foot fitness and wellness destination, including its recovery spaces with red light therapy, spa-inspired amenities and more.

BANH at Books & Books celebrated ONE YEAR in Coconut Grove! 🥖📚✨ Books & Books

What began as an unexpected, and delicious meeting of Vietnamese flavor and literary charm has become a beloved part of the Grove’s food scene.

At the heart of BANH are Chef Phuoc Vo and Aidan Friedson, whose different strengths come together to create something uniquely their own. Chef Phuoc brings more than a decade of experience in some of the country’s most demanding kitchens, along with his appearances as a finalist on Ciao House and competitor on Cutthroat Kitchen. Aidan, a two-time Chopped Junior champion and Miami Herbert Business School graduate, brings a lifelong connection to hospitality and a vision centered on food, connection, and community.

Together, they creted the bánh mì the star, layering crisp baguettes, savory proteins, pickled vegetables, fresh herbs, and bold sauces into sandwiches that are anything but ordinary.

And there’s something especially fitting about enjoying one between the bookshelves: a great story in one hand, a great sandwich in the other.

🌿 Keeping Coconut Grove Beautiful! 🌴

This weekend, community volunteers came together at Peacock Park for a cleanup focused on keeping our public spaces clean and promoting recycling and environmental awareness. ♻️

Commissioner Damian Pardo Damián Pardo and his team was there lending a hand, along with Official Coconut Grove BID, the City of Miami team working to help beautify Coconut Grove. The Coconut Grove Sailing Club also joined the effort, bringing more community support to the cleanup. ⛵️

The day was also filled with family-friendly activities. AVA Coconut Grove AVA MediterrAegean Coconut Grove provided complimentary ice cream, while Coco Orthodontics COCO Smiles Orthodontics and Miami Waterkeepers engaged with the kids, shared messages about the environment and healthy smiles, and handed out free toothbrushes. 🍦🪥

Participants also received certificates of participation in recognition of their efforts to help keep the community clean. 🏆

Community outreach is essential to creating awareness about the positive impact recycling can have on our environment and encouraging everyone to help prevent litter and illegal dumping.
