A board-certified leader in both general surgery and obesity medicine, Dr. de la Cruz-Muñoz brings extensive experience in minimally invasive weight-loss procedures and advanced abdominal surgery—further strengthening our commitment to exceptional patient care.

From 1999 to 2004, Dr. de la Cruz-Muñoz served as a general and bariatric surgeon at Mercy Hospital. Since then, he has built a distinguished surgical practice focused on delivering safe, effective options for long-term wellness. His return aligns with HCA Florida Mercy Hospital’s 75th anniversary, underscoring a shared legacy of service, innovation, and dedication to the South Florida community.
